Why is day ending tomorrow? 22 hours is long enough. A 46 hour night phase is absurd.

We used to just have night end 24 hours after it started, and take the time difference off of the next day.

Why would you also shorten the following day? Why not a normal 24-hour night, followed by a normal 48-hour day?

It's a judgement call. If the hammer drops like 3 hours early you can just extend the night, but when we hammered 2 hours after the day started, it makes more sense to just cut two hours off the following day to make the lynch times stay the same.

Yeah I don't see why it matters here, as long as the end time is 7pm.

It's too late now because the day phase needs to begin at 7pm EST, so the day phase doesn't have to be extended. Hammering would have ended the phase at 7pm EST yesterday.

Hammering is generally bad anyway, mistakes can happen. Also I'm contracturallu bound to claim multiple roles every game I play and i haven't fulfilled my quota yet.
