Question: Do you think the 5 people are forced to bet affect the way people play?

The only time points affect someone in WTA negatively is when someone is afraid to go for the solo because they don't want to lose points. Is there anyone who's worried about losing 5 ?

You aren't taking into account the affect of being part of the draw and the extra points there has. I amd ealing with it in another game now where one of the players wants to reduce the draw so he can get more points. This discourages that as well. I just want to play the real game without points if possible but without points affecting the outcome if necessary.

How about if I just give you my 100% commitment that I don't care about the points and will always play to win. Maybe I'm abnormal, but I've never adjusted my play because of the points involved.

That is fine, krellin, but not everyone does. In fact, I'd like to get some semi established folks who don't always have the points to get in a big pot and where points might affect there play. I will actually set it up as PPSC even though it doesn't matter and see if there play is altered by the pointsnot mattering or if we still get some one trying for a strong second. Then I will do one in WTA (hopefully with the same folks) and see how it plays out. It will test my theory that points alter play both ways.

The highest pot game I've ever played from the start is 100. I've made bigger bets in takeovers (and they generally pay off if I take them), but I prefer small pots because people tend to value their points less and the result more.

I'd play those two games if you want me as a test subject. I don't mind.

That's four of us (with me of course) and five if krellin is actually willing to play.

I'd love to get a mod/admin in (say abge?) so we would know when it is over the point adjustments would be made. And that includes the losers or anyone eliminated getting their points back. The exception ebing if you CD, you get *nothing*.

He actually makes a good point. Then you don't have to worry about the mods handling the points for you. I don't know anyone who's going to try and draw a game rather than win it so they can get 3 instead of 0.

The point of tihs game, from my understanding, is an experiment to see if points effect the way people play

The point of this game in my mind is to play for no other reason than to win. That's what I tend to do anyway, but it'd be nice if everyone did.
