2 isn't a requirement, it's an effect. Moderating takes too much time to play a lot of games in general.

4, decided by the current moderators and admins, though retired mods/admins are also asked to weigh in. When possible we go with a team of 5, seems to work well. So when an active mod/admin steps down we consider the people active on the site at that time.

All Moderators have been selected to the end of days. If a current Mod retires, we'll be starting at the beginning again with DangerMouse, Wonderllama, and Crispminis.

No, it's just a really dumb thread. This obviously has nothing to do with us (the regular players) and everything to do with the mod team. They've been able to operate in privacy for years and we have no reason to start forcing our way into it because it works well as is.

As I told zultar in private the other day, I don't want to be a moderator. He can back me up on that.

I'm not entirely sure why anyone would "want" to be a moderator if they had any idea about the work and the general lack-of-thanks moderators get on almost every site.

If geofram was still mod, he would give you such a shit fit right now. I remember someone asking him about being mod and he went on a rant for days. I wish I could find that thread.
