Lando, please contact the mods via email. Feel free to direct it at me. This is not the way to handle this type of situation. It is counterproductive and will end poorly.

Lando's case is valid though.

If various moderators are to dish out arbitrary and draconian punishments at whim - why is it that the moderators themselves are not moderated? Geofram has wasted many people's time and left people stuck in games, with the points involved frozen and unable to be used to play other games.

I won't say any more though - as I appreciate fk's point that an ongoing thread isn't the best way to handle this issue - but I did just want to add a voice of support to Lando.

Thank you. the biggest point is that there appears to be no oversight for moderators decisions and no viable channel to make legimiate complaints about their decisions.

Two things:
1.) This is analogous to calling someone a cheater (at the very least, it is the spirit of that rule).
2.) Moderators ARE moderated. Help->Rulebook->Rights->last point:
Mod & admin actions are logged, and can be checked over if requested.

We have said multiple times before that you can ALWAYS go to admins and kestas regarding any particular ruling or moderator or admin to be reviewed. We do get requests.
To do this, though, you need to email the moderator mailbox, request that an admin review it (if it is a mod, or email kestas if it is an admin).

Attempting to get a lynch mob started, though, is counter productive. So, please, if you agree with me, no need to reply. If you agree with Lando, give specifics and email the moderator email and request an admin (you can even use me, specifically) to review it.

there are 0 moderators or administrators that I trust. I don't know kestas or anythign about him and my udnerstanding he is not involved in the day-to-day happenings here.

Please correct me if I am wrong, is this the current list of moderators?

For the record, I do believe that the tourney is in a bit of chaos. I'd like to close this thread and open a new one where we can talk about what to do... whether it be resurrect it with a new TD or salvage what we can and cancel paused games, etc... Would that help?

while we are on the subject, can you cancel this game gameID=85497? its been paused for months. and i (or anyone other players) never voted pause in the first place. mods shouldnt be allowed to pause games any under circumstances, there's a reason pause votes need to be unanimous.

also, the annoying part about geofram is that he never posted an apology or even asked anyone to take the tourney over. despite the fact that throughout april and may, he was logging on most days

I thought Geo did a decent job on the previous tourney. Obviously this is fail tho. I wish he had just admitted he could or would not handle it months ago. Banning is extreme tho. If he is not an active member, he should be demoted to non mod and he can resume when he gets his stuff together.

Hehe, I love the forum here. Even though I take months off from Dip, I still come back to the same arguments ;)
