@Mafia: Every single thing Mapleleaf posts is so obviously trollish that it's quite easy to live with and just ignore rather than muting him. About one of his posts in every 20 is even slightly funny.

With Krellin, one of the things that bothers me is that he actually seems to believe some of the awful, hateful, sociopathic things he says.

As for TC I muted him so long ago I have almost forgotten he exists.

@ Jamie about TC - Oh yeah for sure. When he first showed up I debated with TC about healthcare for hours. He showed himself to be completely immune to logic and evidence to such a degree that I was just banging my head against the wall.
And as to mapleleaf, that's pretty true, that's the other reason why I haven't bothered to mute him.

@ abgemacht - That's kinda exactly why I have krellin muted. All his points are just so non-sequitur that it's impossible to debate him because most of the time he's so far off base there just is no way to reply to him. That coupled with what an unpleasant person he is is enough to do it.

As for me being "immune" to logic...yeah, that's what I would say about those two and their ilk. Never seen a bunch of people so able to dismiss reality and facts and history in favor of what they "feel" is the right thing to do.

But it's all good....I don't miss their nonsensical replies. I find it amusing that they think they are harming me, and now I get to post with glee without their inane responses.

And...let's look at you, abge -- smart guy, level-headed...and yet you at times consistently fail in your ability to apply logic - such as the issue of the Constitutionality of spending. That's one of those issues where your "feelings" are more important the the written law that you agree to abide by. How so. There is no way agreement that things like the NSF are unconstitutional. Please note that semck (a lawyer) agrees with me on that. I admitted that if the NSF *were* unconstitutional, then certainly it would have to stop, or the constitution would have to be amended.

Just because Semck (a lawyer...yawn...) agrees does not make it true. Obama is supposedly a Constitutional lawyer...and his biggest accomplishment is about to get smacked down by the Supreme Court...

As for whether or not the NSF should be funded by the Feds...just a question: Have you, personally, ever read the Constitution? If so, ever notice in there this little concept of LIMITED Federal Power, in which the Federal Government has a clearly enumerated set of powers, and ALL ELSE goes to the States? So, either you fail in your reading of it, or you somehow believe as the leftists do that things like the Commerce Clause are wide open doors that allow the Feds to do WHATEVER they want to "promote the general welfare"...and thus, the Federal Government has de facto unlimited power. It's a ridiculous concept.

Look at Federal Spending for the First 100 -150 years of this country....it's funny that the Feds only "found" this exponentially increasing power to spend within, basically, the last half of the last century...But given the typical American's inability to pick up a history book, mot people probably think all these programs have *always* been in place, and thus can' possibly comprehend them going away.
