But if you're talking about the amount of credits you'll be bringing to college, colleges have a cap of AP credits that they'll accept, and the more prestigious schools don't accept AP credits period. So, yeah. If you're talking college, its impossible to graduate as a sophomore

Keep working away, take fun classes, and learn what you want to learn. Or take lots of spares, and relax. (That's sort of what I did, still graduated with over 150% of the necessary credits though )

@KA, maximise your general education uni credits through AP/Gov School/IB or w/e. If you're not sure where you want to go to uni or what you'll study, just take basic credits.

Yeah, I get a very prestigious seal on my diploma for completing CGS. Then I want to go to Carnegie Mellon School of Fine Arts and dual-major in Creative Writing and Musical Composition.

Lakota High in West Chester, Ohio. It doesn't exist as is anymore as the district had to split to two high schools as a result of massive surburban growth in the late 90s.

I ended up with three majors and two minors. English, Mathematics, and Music (specifically instrumental performance, lead trombone in the HughesStation Jazz Band) for Majors and I was one class each shy of making both History and Science into majors. They didn't have the majors and minors "specialized" but were generic.

OK, I understand what you're saying. You must admit, using terms like "major" and "years" in a HS context is very confusing.

So, you're just saying that you had to take 3 English Courses, 3 of some other subject and 2 sets of 2 of a 3rd and 4th subject.

Yeah, that's basically the same as mine. Our requirements were:

4 English courses
4 Math courses
3 science courses
2 history courses
1 art course
1.5 gym courses

and then some amount of credits in w/e.

In any case, atom, how are you doing that in 2 years?

Yeah, I think the school used the terms Major and Minor to encourage "college-bound" thinking. And as we could take single semester (actually they called them trimesters as we had three in the regular school year) couses, we had to have 9 English, 9 in another and 6 in two others, plus a total number of credits (a single trimester course was one credit).

Ah. Going by your standard I would of "majored" in math, english, and theatre with minors in history, science, and french.

At my high school you also had to take a practical science or something like that. It was something like psychology or business law or woodworking.

Math
Science
Music
History
English
German

and minored in:

Gym (lol)

@KA - no idea how you would graduate either....its federal mandate you have to be in school until you're 16 or 17, right? There's roughly 35% odds that you'll *have* to take another year.

Plus, why the hell would anyone want to graduate high school early? You'll be too young to really enjoy college. You'll be 19 by the time your classmates are legally going to bars.
