In all honesty

We tried this on vdip a while ago but It never really worked out, I still think its a cool concept though and was wondering if people here would like to try it. The idea is a classic game where you aren't allowed I lie. That doesn't mean you won't misdirect, or mislead people, but you can't outright lie.

How to get a sitter

My wife has reached full term and could go into labor any day now. So I figured I would go ahead and try and get sitters now while I have time (so that others don't have to wait later). The problem is I have no idea how the process works. What steps do I need to take?

Italian A Tyrolia to Munich has got to be one of the worst early game moves.

Unless this is carefully arranged bilaterally, I cannot possibly see any merit to this whatsoever. Yet I've been hit by it not once but multiple times recently, so clearly someone disagrees... so can someone tell me what the point of this move is?

Do people understand the meaning of diplomacy?

This is a very clever game, but I have to say there is a fine line between being diplomatic and lying your butt off, and I have to say I'm not impressed by the way some players play.

There used to be a time when I used to keep refreshing my home page to see what was new on the forums. Now there's just so much trash talk and so many muted threads/people that my forum column on the home page is just empty. Screw you trolls. You ruined my webdip experience.

NEW GAME

Hi forum! I'm in two games right now and will drop down to 0 pretty soon. I'd like to start a new game with those interested. It will be:
WTA, non-anon (preferred), 2-day phases, 25

buy-in. Please post interest below. I'll set up the game next week (likely), and if we generate enough interest, maybe multiple games.

Assignment of Points in Draws/Survives

How are points divvied up in a PpSC win? For instance, say the pot has 170, the winner has 19 SCs, and others have 14 SCs and 1 SC respectively?

If this is going to happen, we need to know who's interested ASAP! How do you show you're interested? BY GIVING YOUR MONEY TO FORTKNOX! I don't care how excited you sound in the forum; until he gets your money, we can't count you as confirmed.

Also! We still need a Tournament Director! The TD needs to:
1) Know the rules inside and out
2) Be able to make *objective* decisions in a high stress environment

I think the best weekend right now for me is July 20-22.

Also, would others be willing to put up more than $30? There are some really incredible venues we can use, so I want to know if more then $30 is ok and if you'd want a really nice venue (like the football stadium or in a tower overlooking the river).

I'm good up to $50, fk. We should see what we can do with a view of the river from the Ohio side (NKY looks better than downtown, honestly), but we might be able to do something at Newport on the Levee which has a decent view of southeast downtown (not the industrial wasteland of southwest downtown).

We had a company Christmas PArty (and the company was <100 employees) at PBS in a really large and ncie room, so yes, it can be done on the reasonably cheap even at Christmas.

Well, Votto would be at GABP so, unless there was a home game that weekend, you probably wouldn't see him. PBS is the Bengal's home field.

The whole week before and weekend are full of reds home games. I know because I work for the company whose naming rights are on the ballpark and I was going to see if I could get a really cheap (if not free) party room. But, alas, I cannot if there is a game going on. I may be able to get cheap tickets, though, if you guys wanted to swing a game friday night or sunday night...

Set me down as tentative. Not actually sure where I'm going to be during the month of July, but if I can swing the times and budget the trip down to a manageable size, then I'll make every effort. One thing that wasn't explored before is the possibility of carpools and group rates on lodging. The map should help with carpools, but who knows about anything about lodging in Cinn?

Depending on venue and how close you want to be, there is plenty of affordable hotels and motels around. With the wife and I in the Jeep, I can haul three more from the northside of town as long as they aren't all 6'2" and/or 300 lbs.

Geo, I'll look at group rates for inexpensive hotels. Most players are college students or younger, so I'll find a hotel or two that is decent and has inexpensive prices that is hopefully near to the venue chosen (venue has to be chosen first).

Draug, I'm going with 7/20-7/22 unless a lot of people who would normally make it cannot on that weekend. I have the kids and ex's work schedule to work around, and so me finding an open weekend is probably more difficult than most of the other people coming in ;)
