There seems to be a general consensus here that america is for the most part, a force of (for the objectivists) "good" in this world. That it spreads freedom and democracy all over the world at great risk to itself.

webDiplomacy League Winter 2011 results

DCL (Diplomatically Challenged League)

Last year, the DCL had its first season. This year, acmac10 and I have made some improvements to the rules and are ready for a new season.

Well, looking at your profile, you resigned one of your 5 finished games or 20% of your games. Assuming that that will be statistical, we don't want a player who will likely resign. CDs were a major problem last year and we want to cut them.

Actually, that resign was not intentional. I tried a live game for the first time and was doing quite well but then my internet had issues. By the time I could get back to it, the game was over. I don't resign games as a general rule. Not something that I like to do.

We'll see where you're at when the september GhostRatings come out.
100 is the GR system's built in average so 110 gives us a small range above average as well as all the sub-par players.

The final didn't really happen, but the 7 the would have been in the Finals were stated.

I think the final did happen but I have no idea who won. The ratings usually come out pretty quickly near the start of the month. It depends on when TGM gets around to it.

I don't have a ghostrating yet, but I've been playing diplomacy for quite a while, and have drawn or survived all the games I've played so far, and am doing fairly well in the games I'm currently playing. Am I eligible to join?

Is anyone else's forum cocked-up?

Chrome for Windows 14.0.835.186 m

I'm able to scroll out of the forum in any direction. I'm able to go so far that I lose the forum. This is different than when someone posts a really long word, which only allows you to scroll out to the end of that word. Has anyone else ever experienced this?
