I am going to take alot of flak for this, but one phrase I cant stand more than anything in Diplomacy is "Don't take it personally its just a game." Frankly, Its true, and those that carry on are annoying, but the bottom line is if you stab someone you should be ready and willing to take a shit storm of immature invective. Bottom line is the person who shouldn't be taking it personally is the person that is getting cursed at, laugh at the perpetrator, pity them, but don't tell the person "its just a game," I'm pretty sure they already *$%^in know that. If you don't want to get your hands dirty and feel that everyone loves you play farmville.

it was more like, "hey, italy's coming after you. give me bulgaria, and I'll handle him for you. need proof? He's moving to east med this turn."

Honestly, the entire eastern sphere was a fiasco in that game. plus, there was 6 centre france knocking on germany's door.

I love it when people feel the need to inform me how stupid it was for me to stab them.

I mean, sure, sometimes they're right, and I admit that. But it's hilarious when you get, "You'll never win the game now, I will reign fire and brimstone and get everyone to force you out" and you get the W in the end.

Situation World diplomacy, im NW Canada, Quebec is completely unreasonable and demands 3 builds first turn, then says war is innevitable once i deny it. That's OK b/c I thought I convinced USA to ally with me. USA has 2 builds and Florida and Texas open

Build Phase:

USA: Just to let you know Im building a fleet in California, don't be alarmed
Me: What? No! How about FL or Texas?
USA: I cant help it if you don't trust me
