Could somebody please explain the terms Dagger, PPSC, Gunboat and WTA,

I assume Public Press means you only use the Global message feature. How is this policed?

Dagger is the new term (unofficial) for (D) (you have 46(D) as of my posting).
PPSC and WTA are points per SC and Winner Takes All, the two game types.
Guboat means no press of any sort.

As for policing we go buy the honor policy(but since when is honor that important in this game?) That goes for gunboat and Public press.

The reason gunboat is appealing to me atleast, is it is fun to play without communication and is all guess work and luck. I personally like that more then any other variant just because you have to infer on what the other players are going to do.

Pub.Press is the exact oppsite. If you have anything to say it has to be out it the open, it can range anywhere from turths to lies, alliance pledges to war declarations which gives it an edge on what your telling everyone and what you want to keep hidden.


Lastly is my new variant that I haven't seen played before is the 3v3. I'm hoping that we can make that game PW'ed so that only 6 people enter and people won't mistake it for a normal game. I imagine the team would be, Italy-England-France vrs Russia-Austria-Turkey and having germany CD.

I'm hoping that the last team standing will then just draw the pot and win their bets x2. Since its only x2 and not the normal x4 I made the buy in higher so you win more.

I'm hoping to also try 2v2v2's and team gunboats eventually but there doesn't seem to be enough buzz.

CurlyFries: Just because you can't chat doesn't mean there is no communication. The best gunboat players communicate through their moves and non-moves. Things like issuing impossible supports to let someone know if they get there, you'll support them further.

I will probably have the public press in the forum, and no time for gunboat? It only takes 30 seconds to make your moves xD

Why would you create a long-phase gunboat game? That's sort of an oxymoron.

I'm pretty sure players under 100d can join a wta. They just cannot create a new one.

Only two players have signed up to it, but it isn't offering me the chance to join. Now what?
