Have you tried emailing the mods? You probably have, because I've seen requests before by other people. It would seem we don't facilitate this, for reasons unknown to me.

In certain web applications username is the used as the unique identity of the user. This means that you cannot change the username as the links to other data in database would be lost.

Claesar just change it and dont let any of the other mods know ;)

Sure, your requests have been noted and will be carried out soon. Changing usernames is just a matter of a few clicks, really.

The reason we do not facilitate this is because there is no site tool to do this. So that means me or someone else with database access has to write an update statement and run it on the live site. And if we happen to make a mistake suddenly everyone on the site has the same username..which actually I didn't mind at all during that April Fool's joke where everyone was my multi :)

Rumour has it that the 'Change Username' feature is actually hidden behind a paywall. Perhaps you should try donating a lot and see if that helps. :)

Jokes aside, changing usernames is a serious and difficult undertaking. We won't consider doing so for frivolous reasons, but only if personal identification is on the line. Unless you're actually a Demon Overlord in real life, I'm afraid you're out of luck. As a famed Diplomacy player once said, "Diplomacy as a game is all about the consequences of your choices". Sometimes you just have to live with them.
