Breaking News
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHA
CLINTON and the DNC paid for the fake Russia Dossier and probably broke the law. They also approved a deal to give US uranium to RUSSIA. Special Prosecutor will be appointed to investigate this corruption.

The Lion King is a statement about socialism
My gripe with the Lion King is that Scar is the hero. He overthrows a fucked up bourgoise and saves thousands of Hyenas living in poverty. After Simba flees Scar is totally written as converting the kingdom into a starving military dictatorship. This is absolutely a false representation of the amazing Utopia he envisioned. He said be prepared. I was ready. Why didnt his socialist revolution succeed?

Catalonia Referendum
Catalonia intended to hold a referendum on independence from Spain. The Spanish high court ruled it would be illegal. Catalonia decided to hold it anyway, and police are attacking people intending to cast votes.

Thoughts?

Capitalism
Name a country using a true form of capitalism successfully.

All of them, capitalism as a concept has evolved over time, and because it’s “private ownership of the means of production” at its core, it’s not bound to anything beyond that.

Isn’t it? Oligarchy is a political structure, capitalism is an economic structure.

If the political structure deliberately alters the economic framework - so as to funnel impractical levels of wealth to the top, then it isnt a functioning capitalism.

Like socialism?
Ogion (3882 D)

Lol. None, of course. the US tried, and recognized that capitalism ends up in a single conglomerate with all industries owned by a single corporation, owned by a small group of people. Essentially, feudalism.

Oligarchy is the purest form of capitalism, since size equals market advantage that leads to price gouging and unfair competition.

A 20.4 tax rate for millionaires and billionaires is an example of flawed capitalism.

Numbers closer to 65-75% would create a more functioning thriving economy through money exchanging hands fluidly

I think if you ask any believing capitalist, they will tell you everything is going as planned.

Every political and economic structure funnels wealth to its elites.
brainbomb (290 D)

Many would say a 65% tax rate is too high. Buth think of how thriving of an economy you would have doing this. The stores would be flooded with consumers. Business owners were return perpetual unending prosperity.

If people resist you can close the borders and brand them criminals trying to flee taxation. People apprehended in this manner can be subject to any amount of property forfeiture to the public.

Corporate-taxes I would set at 80% to discourage monopolies

Open and free markets are the benefit of capitalism. They are the drivers of wealth and prosperity. The American dream is predicated on this, work hard and you can achieve. Because most people have become lazy pieces of shit with their hands out saying "give me, because you have more". That's bullshit. The problem is bigger government and unions. Do you really believe they have the best interest in the people they serve? If you do, you not so smart

There is no logic or data that backs this.

Studies have proven that people of lower socio-economic status will spend and spend 100% of what is redistributed to them. The more you give the more the economy flourishes with a full return on revenue

Money hoarding is not a facet of successful capitalism
ssorenn (0 DX)

They will spend 200% of their net and go into debt. Then will declare bankruptcy to get out. Their lives inherently change little me in 7 years they do it again. All while having their hand in the government pockets.
brainbomb (290 D)
25 Oct 17 UTC
If you give the wealthy tax breaks they dont create new jobs, they dont help to funnel money into the system. They hoard it. Trickle down is a phony lie to blame the Government for a litany of systemic failures in Capitalism itself.

Capitalism only works if the wealthy are at the forefront of recirculating wealth as opposed to hoarding it
ssorenn (0 DX)
25 Oct 17 UTC

They do recirculate wealth and create jobs too. There is a death tax currently at 45% of an estate. That helps keep generational wealth from getting out of control.

You are not fighting an argument against capitalism BB, you're making an argument for socialism. That has never worked. Ever.
brainbomb (290 D)

They dont recirculate enough. They should be made to do so forcibly

There is more than enough money supply.

Rabbits for Capt. Brad
Rabbits was cursed ever since they was stolen from the Native Americans. All the 'white' and 'brown' and 'black' and 'asian' rabbits (and any other non-native folks) should pack up and leave the pet cemetary to join Colonel von Brad in a potato peeling adventure. Who wants to be the rear admiral?
