So, Congratulations to all the teams that have made it this far! It was a hard fought round, and the cream of the crop has emerged to take on the Finals!
First things first, as was promised in the beginning, every member of the teams entering the Finals will be awarded 100 points for their achievement!
Second, the games for the Finals will be set up this weekend. I anticipate delaying the start of the second gunboat game by a week, similar to the first rounds.
An important notice: I WILL NOT BE TD'ING THE FINALS. As my team is in the Finals, it is inappropriate for me to regulate those games. As such, I have asked Yoyoyozo to help out. He and other members of the mod team, as needed, will help handle all tournament requests. I will be giving him strict instructions to follow. Referring to pauses, each player will have 1 guaranteed pause of up to a week. Emergency pauses of up to 1 phase length are accepted in addition to this; any longer, and they count as your guaranteed pause. Emergencies are for when
you literally cannot access the site due to unforeseen circumstances. Should a player appear about to NMR, there will be a force pause. If the pause lasts for longer than one phase length, the player will be ruled to have CD'd and be removed from the game. If a game is force paused for an NMR, there will be no rolebacks of phase length. If a player has requested a pause, the phase will be restarted. Substitutions will be from the team's official sub list. If a team no longer has a sub, they may search for one on their own. The GR of the sub must be lower than the GR of the person they are replacing. It is not the responsibility of the TD to find a sub, though we may help.
That should help clarify 90% of what Yoyo would be doing in my stead during these games. So, as a reminder, if you encounter an issue during the Finals, PM Yoyo.
Finally, teams have my permission to do personnel changes as they see fit between now and the start of the Finals. They are not to inform me or the TD of what these changes are. As before, I will PM the captain of each team the links and passwords of all the games, and he will distribute those accordingly.
