There's clearly quite a lot of diversity in the Democrat party, from the President to the elected representatives and senators.

You mean the:
20% of candidates on stage who were women?
20% who were Jewish socialists like Jesus?
20% who graduated from the US Naval Academy, were platoon commanders for marines and earned 2 Purple Hearts and the Navy Cross?

Yeah, no diversity there.

Just because you have a freak show like the GOP doesn't mean you have diversity. You have freaks.

The Democrats have fewer candidates at the start of this POTUS season because Hillary scared most of them away--she has been the overwhelming front-runner for 2016 for nearly 8 years now.

She has also scared many legitimate GOP candidates out of the race as well. This is partly why there are so many GOP crackpots on stage. They only have 3 serious candidates right now: Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio and John Kasich.

Democrats need to fear a Rubio/Kasich ticket. That's the only way Republicans have a chance of winning the White House.
