All the people are fluent in both English and Dutch - last time we played predominantly English because there was also a German player on the board.

If there is more interest, I'd be willing to organise something substantial say, in August, so that more people from the UK would be willing to join. World Champion Toby Harris also indicated he might be interested to join if given more notice.

August might not be ideal, Lots of people on holidays.
Also, the later we would make it, the higher the chances for international travellers to show up.

The summer holidays make flights and hotels twice as expensive. I could be tempted in September/October though? :D

How is the city decided? Simply because you live there (assuming you live there), TMOW? Some other places may be easier to reach for the group as a whole?

@Steephie: I chose it because most players are from Amsterdam, yet I was preparing to move it to Utrecht for the central location. However, all the players (also those from Groningen) insisted we keep Amsterdam, so that international guests are more willing and able to come over. Besides, the location really is fantastic - stone's throw from Central Station and free parking at the door. Come on over!

@HR: ok, point taken. Will discuss with the players. It will be a Sunday though.
