What is the point in "Anonymously + Without chat"?
As far as I understand "Diplomacy" game is all about negotiation. But I see many games here with no chat - what is the point?

This Time on Philosophy
This is NOT a thread about religion. No affirming Jesus as divine-ergo-correct, we're just comparing philosophies. If you want to argue the miracles are somehow parabolic--ie, that the Bread/Loaves one demonstrates a tenant of his philosophy-fair game, but no arguing on whether or not he "did it." So let's play the Jeffersonian game and just compare arguably the West's two most important philosophic influences--Socrates or Jesus, who has the better life view?

Human Rights Watch, a group which respects its own activist credentials, believes that anyone who cares about White Africans (caucasian people who are native to Africa) being raped and murdered is racist.

so... for those official theorists i think i can still give you more on 9/11 because this one obviously did have high ranking american official involvement and because it was so significant to the world. and it shows how coverups are possible that involve academia, government and the media working on concert.

After Obama
I've recently criticized Barack Obama rather severely. He deserved every letter of it. The alternative? I've said it before and I'll say it again: Jon Huntsman Jr. That's the guy I really hope (for the US at least) that he'll succeed this absolute clown of a President Obama.

If there's one person we can be sure won't be president in January 2017, it's Jon Huntsman.

It'll be Hillary Clinton or Marco Rubio. That's my guess.

A great candidate in my mind would be Mike Pence.

If you asked people in 2005 they would have said Hillary Clinton or Rudy Giuliani would win in 2008. It's a decent enough parlor game to guess who the nominees will be, but it's unlikely to have much basis in reality.

I have as much chance of being elected President in 2016 as Huntsman does, redhouse, and I won't even be the required 35 years old.
obiwanobiwan (248 D)
16 Sep 13 UTC
Hillary, Christie or Rubio--take your pick.

Rubio disgusts me, Hillary would be my obvious pick, Christie I'd be interested to hear, he sounds like he might be a workable moderate.

But Huntsman has the same chance as a Ron/Rand Paul father/son ticket winning.
bo_sox48 (5202 DMod(G))

Mike Pence is gonna be on the primary ballot. I assure you of that, obi. Unless he turns it down like Daniels did.

Neither Christie nor Rubio will be the Republican nominee.
Gunfighter06 (224 D)

I stand with Rand Paul! He's the closest thing to a libertarian on the national stage.

Clinton should be in prison. Rubio, Christie, and Huntsman are all RINOs.

Oh yeah, I guess I'm considered "crazy" for supporting the only guy who has read and understands the Constitution.
Jack_Klein (897 D)

Yeah, he sure understands the Constitution.

He opposes birthright citizenship, despite that its clearly laid out in the 14th amendment.

If you're born on American soil, you're an American, period. Senator Paul disagrees. Therefore, Senator Paul either hasn't read, doesn't understand, or doesn't support the Constitution.

But hey, don't let my use of logic stop you from supporting him. :)
Invictus (240 D)
16 Sep 13 UTC
Link? I've never heard him say that. And the people who I have heard say such things want to repeal the Fourteenth Amendment (!) to get rid of birthright citizenship.
Invictus (240 D)
16 Sep 13 UTC
Meaning they acknowledge it exists in the Constitution now.
dirge (768 D(B))

Christie has a chance if the Republican extremists don't blitz him in the primaries. Sadly some republicans can't stand anyone who uses their brain.

Invictus (240 D)

Here's my silly guess. It'll be a three-man race in the early primaries between Christie, Paul, and Rubio. Christie and Rubio will split the traditional Republican vote until one decisive primary which forces the other to drop out. To pile on the wild guesses I'll say it's Florida. After one of them bows out it becomes a contest between him and Paul, with Paul the less likely victor by quite a bit. As for the Democrats, I think there will definitely be a primary challenge to Hillary from her left and that person has a decent shot at winning, especially if the Democrats think they can get away with another very liberal nominee in the wake of GOP dysfunction.

But again, it's almost certain to not happen this way. A ground war in Syria could rocket Paul to a coronation at the convention and 50 states. Some scandal could doom any of my three, some policy that catches people's imagination could raise up another. Hillary may not run. Still possible. Like I said before, too much time exists in between now and when these things are determined for anyone to make more than a slightly educated guess, and even those will probably be wrong.

semck83 (229 D(B))

Seems reasonable, Invictus, except that from conversations with conservatives, I think Cruz is going to get a surprising amount of early play, which could substantially complicate things (since he takes support from both Paul and Rubio, but not Christie).

Interesting that no one thinks biden will even be relevant. The VP usually has an automatic nomination unless the choose not to peruse it like Chaney. Mondale, Bush Sr., al gore, to name the last 3 other than chaney.

Huntsman seems like a guy who has a feel for and experience in foreign policy, which I thought was very much the domain of the president and the more so now that Obama did almost irreversible damage in the area.
semck83 (229 D(B))
16 Sep 13 UTC
GOP primary voters are in no mood to completely ignore heterodox domestic policy and a disastrous personality just because he's wonkish on foreign policy.
redhouse1938 (429 D)

How is his personality disastrous? And I don't mean in the "appealing" sense, but in the character sense.

And I read he left the governership of the state of Utah with a >80% approval rating. That sounds pretty domestic to me. I just don't see what you Americans have against him. To me as a European, he seems to be head and shoulders above the rest..
