Not sure what you mean by ghosts, but I don't have time for full games so I picked up 2 open positions.

So a mod bans two players for multi/meta in a game and then instead of canceling the ruined game takes the favourit's open spot and finish the game.And that counts for GR - gameID=122762 - am I missing something?

@split, one person was banned (Italy), not by me, and Turkey was in CD. I waited 3 days to let someone else take the position over, no one did, so I took it. Someone else was later banned (when he was down to 1 center), by another moderator. These two bans were not related and there was no cheating in that game at any point. Which is why the game was not cancelled. If they had been then the moderator who dealt with the case would have cancelled the game immediately.

Please also note the position I took over was not from a banned player, but one who went CD. All of this is determinable from the global press, which is public. So maybe look twice next time before making bull accusations.

It would be nice of there was some way for GR to penalize people who CD and also to "charge" more to take over a dominant position than a 1-2 center position. It does seem unfair to reward a win or draw when the player starts with 6+ centers instead of 3. I do not think gaining GR is a very good goal in itself, but a credible GR system does provide a measure of comparison that is interesting. A compromised GR? Not so much.

@split, the mod team has force drawn all of 2 games in the last 6 months, 1 of them for a TD, and the other because everyone but one person who had left the site wanted to draw.

The rules section very clearly outlines when a game will be interfered with. When there are 2 or more multis in a game and the cheating had a considerable impact on the game. When they are unrelated it is not cancelled.

The flip side of that argument is what is the point of points looking at the games you play and win after multiple CD's. I'll also point out that most of the 48 came from the other game, since GR is based on the competitions GR. GR is not run by the site, it's created and maintained separately, if you think it needs improvements then talk to the people who run it.

All that aside, I don't play games for the points or ghostrating. I play games to have fun. If you want an accurate representation of skill then look at a combination of points, win/draw percentage, ghostrating, and competition.
