Lusthog!

Hey everyone! I've been itching to play some quality Gunboat games lately, and I figured we hadn't done a proper round of Lusthog in awhile (or at least, I haven't).

What is Lusthog?

It's a series of old Gunboat games we used to play, basically the idea is that it's WTA and there is a code of conduct to play for the solo unless you are forced to make a draw to prevent a solo. None of that "I'll thin the draw and draw with my allies" crap! We play to win!

As far as I know, it's been two years since the last one (Lusthog 41, I believe). Any old Lusthog buddies get first dibs (ATC, brain, rivera, Balrog, bo, pj, kasimax, Warden, Lando, Moscow , but I want to run maybe 3-5 games.

I played one of these what I thought was somewhat recently, but I just checked and it was 5 years ago. Wow.
I'm game to play, but if there are multiple games I would probably be best suited on a less skilled board.

@uber - a lot of the old guys don't even come around any more, so I'm sure there will be room!

@Squigs - let's see what the skill levels come out to be. I'm not exactly as sharp as I used to be, either.

I'm about to fall off the gunboat GR, so I guess I'll play, so long as there is a prearranged understanding that I'll probably need a brief pause or two in late June or early July. Can't say the duration yet but if turns out to be more than 4-5 days I'll just arrange a replacement. If that's an issue, I'll just not play

Ooh Lusthog! I want to play, but can't play a bunch at once. Can I just join for one?

Also, the rule is that you cannot draw unless the game is physically stalemated, right? ( it's been awhile since I've played Lusthog, but that's what I remember?)

The idea is you are never playing to draw unless physically forced to. You can position to stalemate a solo, but if you see an opportunity to turn it into a solo for yourself, you are honor bound to do so.

SoS wasn't a thing last time we did this - anyone have thoughts on WTA vs SoS for this? I think SoS fits the theme more.
