Re: Dawn of the Enlightenment Playtest 2:
Rules:
All rules are as in Standard Diplomacy, except as follows:
Game Start: Play begins in Spring of the year 1701.
Four Way Intersections: Each area or province (including High Seas provinces) in a four way intersection is adjacent to all the other provinces and areas in that four way instercetion. The four way intersections are:
North Atlantic Ocean, Sea of Pernambuco, Bight of Benin, and South Atlantic Ocean
South Atlantic Ocean, Namibian Sea, Mozambique Channel, and Indian Ocean
Indian Ocean, Australian Bight, Coral Sea, and West Pacific Ocean
West Pacific Ocean, Aleutian Sea, Gulf of Alaska, and East Pacific Ocean
East Pacific Ocean, Magellanic Sea, Argentine Sea, and South Atlantic Ocean
High Seas Provinces: The five Oceanic areas (North Atlantic Ocean, South Atlantic Ocean, East Pacific Ocean, West Pacific Ocean, and Indian Ocean) are not provinces and cannot themselves be occupied, but are merely indicators of adjacency. There are seven High Seas provinces within each Oceanic area. High Seas provinces may be occupied in the same manner and function like any other sea province. Each High Seas province is adjacent to:
All of the other High Seas Provinces within its Oceanic area
All of the Sea Provinces visibly adjacent to that Oceanic Area
All of the provinces which are adjacent to that Oceanic area by way of a four-way intercetions (including all of the High Seas provinces in the four-way adjacent Oceanic area)
In example, NA1 is adjacent to: NA2, NA3, NA4, NA5, NA6, NA7, Greenland Sea, Norwegian Sea, Irish Sea, Bay of Biscay, Gulf of Cadiz, Bight of Benin, SA1, SA2, SA3, SA4, SA5, SA6, SA7, SA8, Sea of Pernambuco, Sea of Belem, Antillean Sea, Gulf of Saint Lawrence
Building Units: A Power may build in any Supply Center owned by that Power
Victory Criteria: Victory is not earned upon a Power gaining ownership of a majority of the 131 Supply Centers. Each Power has its own victory criterion as follows:
Austria - 32
China - 29
Denmark - 38
England - 44
France - 44
India - 29
Netherlands - 42
Oman - 29
Persian - 29
Poland - 32
Portugaul - 42
Russia - 40
Spain - 44
Sweden - 35
Turkey - 35
Victory Criteria cont.: In the event that more than one Power attains its victory criterion in the same game year, that Power which exceeds its victory criterion by the greatest amount will be the game winner. In the event that each Power meeting or exceeding its respective victory criterion does so by an equal amount, play shall continue until only one Power meets or exceeds its victory criterion or until one Power exceeds its victory criterion by a greater amount than any other power

Year 1 map:

Centers To Win* Units Adjustments
Austria 7 25 4 3
China 4 25 3 1
Denmark 8 30 6 2
England 10 34 9 1
France 10 34 9 1
India 5 24 3 2
Netherlands 8 34 8 0
Oman 5 24 3 2
Persia 6 23 3 3
Poland 4 28 4 0
Portugal 9 33 8 1
Russia 7 33 7 0
Spain 12 32 9 3
Sweden 6 29 5 1
Turkey 8 27 5 3
*As DotE has variable scoring (nations that start bigger need more centers for victory), the "To Win" column is the number of remaining centers a nation needs to claim to win!
Currently, Persia is in first place, only needing 23 more centers to win!

There were some other minor changes making sure units showed up in the correct spot. We are also looking for a replacement.
