DAY 1 INTERLUDE

Jimothy the Cabin Boy studied the map in his small room. Captain Fredbeard had handed it to him and told him to "learn it well, if ye e'er want to be a true sailor" before throwing an empty bottle over his head and laughing as he walked away, heading back to the yelling and chaos going on above deck.

Jimothy was starting to regret his choice to come aboard, but was thankful he wasn't yet truly part of the crew, and could sit in his small room behind the pantry.

Maybe I'll start tracking our progress on the map, he thinks...

I pretty candidly stated that I struggle to be objective with you because you engage in behaviors I find scummy regardless of your actual alignment.

You have been twisting my words, engaging in melodramatics, selectively ignoring messages that don’t make your point, and dishonestly engaging with me and with the thread to try to convince people to kill me. These are all behaviors I really want to be coming from scum.

Unfortunately ample past experience has taught me that this is simply how you operate. So I struggle to separate brain being scum from brain being brain.

The reason I struggle with this reply is youve never expressed this challenge reading me in the past and youve always come around the more logical answer in each iteration. Here it seems like you want the trench to get deeper and deeper and you arent even rereading my posts in good faith when ive engaged other players. instead youve stuck to the same concept that im scum for this quasi manipulation angle, and you keep repeating it over and over for everytime I present something youve said which either had a dangling point, or no point at all, or an inconsistent point. and instead of clarifying, updating and expanding your points you retreat back into defense mode and victimspace.

you can keep saying im lying about you, but when half my posts are quotes of yours, where I try to understand what youre doing, you claim im misrepping you

well, I noticed in my past games, that my early reads are usually bad (big surprise) but I also noticed that from worcej, we both seem to be the same in that regard, pick up something subconsciously that flows into our reads but turns out as a red herring. Sometimes worcej and I have an idea that is genius to read mafia, but usually that is with more evidence than just 'I feel'. Since I noticed that about both of us, I think it's save to say that it's a good fail save that when both of us have a maf read D1 based on feelings, it's most likely wrong, so I'm just executing this logic now.

yeah, bozo is practically pressure. Sure, he could be mafia, but he's practically a null, just with a naked vote. I also thought about pressuring bunny, but I concluded with all what he is doing, pressure voting would do nothing towards bunny and he is prepared for that, so every vote for bunny is a vote for a removal right now, at least in my eyes, so not much to gain there just to park a vote, and that is not my intent.

Surprisingly, as I said, I don't have this feeling of big suspicion I normally have, even the voice for ghug is silent right now and ghug is pretty much a big null for me. Which makes me think that I read ghug wrongly and he is mafia but then again this is just convoluted thinking and probably just a wrong thought.

So yeah, my goal r ight now is to clear more things up and get a better read, but as I said, nothing strikes me as explicitly suspicious.

What are your thoughts on s&c?

To be fair, you do keep misrepresenting President Eden. I'm sure it's innocent, but you keep antagonizing them by misunderstanding them constantly. Maybe you can refrain from putting words in their mouth (from your perspective I assume you are just trying to say what you think President Eden thinks, as a confirmation of understanding).

FWIW, I don’t really understand what his scum motivation would be when it’s this transparent, so you’re probably right that it’s innocent

But that doesn’t change the bottom line for me. Not worth the effort to sort out.

What are your thoughts on bona? You had some games where he played too, right? Anything from those that help in the current game?

Also, how do you see Xcution right now? Since it is x's first game here, something that you noticed? Or did you read the champs game where ghug and x played?

What opinions you want on people that made 4 posts like me or 2 posts like Bozo? It's not even half of D1 so why you are pushing this?
You want to push a kill the lower posters just go for it, but this need for immediate answers with less then 24 hours seems weird.

which is normal, I think. It's not as high of a chord as I usually feel here, but I feel good having him in my town corner

I usually wait for them to start posting and voting so I can have some input to compare to my general perception of them. Asking direct questions and push for reads are also pretty good tools. Both Damo and Bozo tend to give lame reads as scum. Pixxy I really don't know. And I assure you I am a pirate so you don't need to worry with me.

Im actively working on part 2 with you and damo's answers. I learned that I have zero friends on this forum, and my aggressive play is off putting. And even when im onto something very real and very solid, people ignore it because all they see is asshole brainbomb barrelling in again harassing people.

I'm not quite sure, but I think it's the posting style. I can, or at least I think I'm able to, read sweet clearly and what I've seen here is pure town. Maybe it's because of a similar style or way, but I totally believe sweet is town and you should not vote that slot.

I could be totally wrong but I don't believe it and man, if I am, then I should probably stop playing mafia.
