What do you think of the votes cast by Damo and Sarah for Dargorygel? Do you think they give good reasons for voting him?

What feels off to me is how quiet the game is at this time compared to yesterday.

For what it's worth, I believe the game has been unusually active recently, so it's not that much of a thing.

Well Sarah does seem to be trying somewhat... I don't think she's a bad lynch, but I'm willing to giver her a bit more time.

I am giving scum points to rdr and Chaqa for arguing that we should vote Sarah because she is bad-town. I have played scum and 3P more than I have played town on here, and "this person is scum OR bad-town so they're a positive EV lynch" is a great D1 argument that I enjoy employing from those perspectives.

As town, personally, I don't want to lynch any town, and it's bit early to be arguing as though we are out of options and therefore should policy Sarah based on the last game, isn't it?

First of all, the "I'm town so I don't want to lynch town" statement is just gross in general. But also brushing off lynching Sarah as policy is pretty rich coming from someone who 1) either doesn't understand why Sarah is getting votes or is misrepresenting the reason and 2) voted for emc as a policy vote - not to mention the weirdness where foodcoats apparently didn't even realize emc was playing...

But primarily, foodcoats' vote for Sarah is one of the scummiest posts I've seen so far:

I am coming around on Sarah. I saw noobscum cornered this way in a game I played on Mafia Scum. Sarah seems to be spiralling on her accusers rather than paying attention to any other happenings in-game.

I don't think Sarah was spiraling on her accusers at all. In fact, she had just started to actually engage with the people who were trying to talk to her. I think the random scum from another game is just extra fluff meant to give weight to a week argument. And, I think foodcoats just jumped on a big, safe wagon because it seemed like an easy place to hide a vote.

I would heavily put that down to game opening, the start and EOD/N are always more active. People make time more readily than they do mid-phase.

I don't remember anyone else saying that, but how is it towny? Do you believe that we're all suddenly going to believe in whatever the majority opinion is and then be either complacent or apprehensive? Or do you think it's towny because he truly believes that he is protecting the town's equanimity even though he is obviously not doing that?

None of those, actually. I think it's towny in the sense that he is calling out everyone who is using mechs-guessing as an excuse to be active and contributing, as there's no use for that at this point in game.

Nah, that's easy to do as scum too. And as I said, I think putting scum on the spot with this type of questions is not a bad thing. The actual numbers that people give in response is the least interesting part. And town talk about mechanics too. If that is all that Fox was doing, the point might have some value, but picking one thing in isolation as scummy I think is less compelling.

Mhh, you're right. Lol I do not remember Dargo's scum game at all other than his lurking (which he does as town anyways, so point is moot). I actually didn't take it as referring to FoxC explicitly (more of a general statement that included a good handful of players), but in hindsight that was just me lol
