CASCA
Are not you moved, when all the sway of the earth
Shakes like a thing unfirm? O Cicero,
I have seen tempests, when the scolding winds
Have rived the knotty oaks; and I have seen
Th'ambitious ocean swell and rage and foam,
To be exalted with the threat'ning clouds:
But never till to-night, never till now,
Did I go through a tempest dropping fire.
Either there is a civil strife in heaven;
Or else the world, too saucy with the gods,
Incenses them to send destruction.

Jamiet99uk has DIED. He was Casca, the Roman Senator

RIP Jamie.

And if nobody CCs ghug, then my reread so far is stupidly off. Maybe I was picking up he’s a PR…

well, if true, my usual reading of "PR is mafia" comes back.

I had ghug as a candidate, but after yesterday that looked very unlikely. Thought after damo's flip, it was Will.

And, if anyone wants to believe me, I'm just a vanilla Town.

Just want to say, very nice touch by our GM, that Jamie turned out to be Casca. Love it.

Kak, I'm being "mean" because you abuse the rules around posting at phase end every game and I'm tired of it. We all do it by accident sometimes, but you're very consistent about it, like you're intentionally risking crossposting with the GM to make sure you get the very last word. You just did it again at EoN.

Separately, I suspect you because you seemed totally happy to let it tie yesterday and then went completely silent for the whole night, which is fucking weird. Please explain what you were thinking at EoD and why you disengaged overnight.

I'd also like to hear what you have to say about Cinna.

I'm not sure?

I usually have the tendency to suspect PR's early, vote them, overtunnel them.

I had ghug as a low potential for dips mason partner, but damo and will ranked higher there.

And I don't counterclaim, I'm just a normal VT.

Does that clear it up?

I would also like to ask you, DreamTrawler, how did you feel getting the game explained to you? Anything special you've noticed?

What do you think about the game overall. Is it fast/slow, do you think people are chatty or more withdrawn? Any surprised from the last game you've seen?

What are your thoughts about Will, and his stance to not vote for you for at least D3?
This is a fascinating post.

I don’t think so. But I’ll table it for now. It looked like a scum slip the way it was phrased. But could be a translation idiom thing. Didn’t seem like something scum!kaka would mess up. But also not something town!kaka would post.

well I try to not let mafia get any information from me for their decisions. Maybe I'm just overly stupid cautious, but I try to be as close as I can to that last second. It's not that I want to post after, just before. It's just I also have some issues to press my thoughts into my posts, and sometimes I overlook the time. I also had some timing issues today, wanted to have a whole look at all the pairings, but I just didn't have enough time and needed to scratch that part. Maybe I should just settle to post earlier and not let it get too much into my brain that mafia could use that. I mean, I guess my thoughts aren't that valuable anyway, I guess. I'm sorry causing trouble with this.

I wasn't happy, I didn't want damo, and I of course didn't want me to be voted out. I would've much preferred if the day was between Bunny and Will, but that was seemingly not going to happen. But at that situation, what would you gain from me voting damo there? Like, oh, a survival vote, fine. No new information but damo flip. So sure I risked a tie, but I also wanted to see who would choose to switch. Who would give up his read of them, and go from damo and me (and causing me to die) or from me to damo (and make me survive).

To be fair, one thought that also crossed was that you switched to have me as a misvote today. But I know you do switch as any alignment, so that wouldn't say much about you. I'm just sad we don't have more information out of that than we potentially could have.

And Cinna, I think you mean dip? At least how he flavoured his posts?

yeah.

With the amount of teaching, I was sure that someone would come out and call it coaching. Like, Dream had three people explaining stuff to him. You, Jamie and me. I know Im town and we know Jamie was too.

But it seems that I was the only one that even considered that it could've been some kind of coaching?

oh right, and for the 'went silent for the night', I just tried to not send any information to mafia about me. Maybe I'm thinking wrong in that regard, but I also think that giving mafia some of our thoughts at night isn't good and it helps in their nk's.

but yeah, I thought that it's possible, that dips code could be something that can validate his partner, even after a flip. Could've been just some gibberish, but maybe dip cooked there?

Do you want to talk about that, ghug?

I won't belabor the posting thing further. It's just been a thing that happens a lot and I wish you'd try to improve it. time.is is a helpful tool.

You still haven't answered why you disappeared for the whole night.

I want to know why you made a point of calling him Cinna after he died. I'm also curious why you thought the code was impossible to crack.

well he wanted to rp as Cinna the poet? And I like to honour people's flavour? There's nothing more to it

also I noticed it a bit above that I missed that in my ramblings. I also want to add to that, that with how my alarmbells went off from your post, I just didn't want to engage there, especially when it made me very emotional. I mean, I absolutely see your point, but the way you phrased it made me very angry. It's not like it was in all the games I've played the very first one.

And I don't want to ride on it further, I'll try to improve it since I do see your point, just, sometimes I just clam up, be a deer in headlights, freeze, whatever you call it, and trying to do the right thing, try to find the solution, and then suddenly miss the perfect time and are late.

As I said, it didn't help that I didn't have as much time for it as I hoped, I basically tried to get my thoughts out before just in case I was nk'ed, but just look at them, they are written quite badly. Could've phrased it much better if I had more time, but things happen.

But yeah, I didn't engage with you as I was pretty sure you were mafia there, on top of any personal things I might say in anger that aren't what I really feel, and I still tried to act as if I was hiding the solution of the code, even when the hopes for that were low, and I didn't want to give mafia more inside into my head. I mean, I wouldn't have had much time due to RL anyway, but yeah.

D&W? I'll be honest I paid very little attention to any of the roleplay; including my own.

D&W was on edge. In retrospect, I can see how I confused town PR for mafia, and I was excited to have caught him day 1 two games in a row. If the scum hadn't got him, I'd have probably kept pushing.

Out of curiosity, why did you vote him?

This is a strange exchange if you are his partner:

I figured it'd be good to distance a little

Why were you pinged so hard by Kak calling him Cinna?
