A final comment: Conceding in public is not allowed; players should remember this in future. I would ask the Council to be lenient with Brainbomb on this occasion, however - he was very frustrated.
Potato, potato; potato.

I thought perhaps that you would ignite on N4, so it was my thought that we should sneak in a kill power at EoD4 so we can kill off as many town as possible
But you popped it early and then, well, see my earlier post
I feel like the big mistake was killing Vecna. Brain talked me into it

suuuure
you have never not killed me when you were scum

This was a very fun game. The threeball broke a lot of potential teamsolves based on who voted who. I will say, the angels felt a bit underpowered, with MMA's kill being very indicative of who the MMA was, and roleblocking being weak because of the large number of cops in the game - you roleblock one, there are 5 more. The huge variety in the cops were awesome, though, and the flavor text was well-written.

If Death gets a faction kill every night I would think the angels would need some sort of protection role to be able to combat that.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 2:14 pmSo after a night's sleep, and a lot of chat in Discord, I'll make some comments.
I acknowledge that the setup worked out as slightly town-sided; the Angel team, in particular, was slightly too weak. But on reflection, and based on a lot of feedback from others, I do not think it is fundamentally broken.
The balance considerations when the setup was designed, assumed a number of things that did not play out in practice, partly due to decisions made by the two scum teams, and partly due to town decisions, as well as some luck.
In particular:
- It was anticipated that the Angel team would try to get a kill D1 and possibly on D2 when the large number of players makes it somewhat easier to spread votes around. In practice they did not do this.
- Judge Fear is a potentially serious threat to both Town and the Angels. Town was somewhat lucky that nobody visited him. Often, a low-posting newbie would be a popular scan target (i.e. Fidelis), but not in this game.
- Both scum teams deciding to holster N1 was somewhat surprising.
Town played well overall and Balki in particular deserves credit for showing leadership when it mattered. I thought Chaqa's scum play was overall very good also.
I will run this again some time in 2025, if permitted, with a number of changes:
- The potential town roles will include a Paranoid Cop as well as a naïve cop. (Paranoid Cop always returns "Guilty" irrespective of the target's actual role or alignment).
- The Angel gang will be given at least one non-conditional kill, potentially by changing the Pa Angel role to be a form of JOAT.
- The Mean Machine Angel mechanics will be revisited.
- Judge Death would be made a standard nightkiller with a kill every night, but no strongman.

The number of cops were fine, however it was difficult to parse out the information correctly to get the truth.Diplomacy&Warfare wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 2:56 pmThis was a very fun game. With all PR heavy setups, this game was “swingy”, not imbalanced.

I strongly recommend you consider not chasing post counts. I purposely didn’t engage until people count were low because the sheer amount of postsJustAGuyNamedWill wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 3:13 pmAhhhh

They have at least one roleblocker.worcej wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 3:56 pmIf Death gets a faction kill every night I would think the angels would need some sort of protection role to be able to combat that.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 2:14 pm- Judge Death would be made a standard nightkiller with a kill every night, but no strongman.

It's fine to post a lot, if you genuinely have a lot to say.
Posting just for the sake of increasing your post count is annoying and somewhat anti-social behaviour.

Maybe I should post 5 times per phase like rdr

It's fine to talk a lot, just don't chase the metric. Some people have a hard enough time keeping up already.JustAGuyNamedWill wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 5:07 pmYeah I am aware lmaoJamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 4:18 pmYeah I agree.

It might be a good idea.
But I don't know how I'll handle that :/

Other sites have them.
I think MU has a fairly standard cap of 150 posts per phase.

Tricky to implement here, though. On MU it's coded into the site, so after your 150th post, the site stops you posting.sweetandcool wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 6:43 pmIt might be a good idea.

Ya if we were to do a postcap we would have to go by the honor system
