I guess my point is that your towniness shines through when you're just being town, and a combination of both overthinking the matter (like when you said you were deliberately watching the proceedings of EoD1 but not posting for some nebulous end that conceals you as doc) as well as the insistence of trying to prove your towniness instead of just letting your own behavior speak for itself is actively detrimental

I suppose you might say that's just what you do as town, and that may be true, but perhaps now is a great opportunity to induce a paradigm shift given that you've been outed as PR and thus nobody can really overly accuse you of sudden changes of behavior, and you can take this new!worcej to future games without fearing then that that subsequent change will also bring you suspicion

Just do what you would normally do, yeah? Which is figuring out who is scum. If your goal is to push Eden as scum (kinda doubtful, but that's your prerogative) you should be trying to induce words and actions from him that are indicative, not taking a point you already found scummy and ever building an endless tower of arguments over that point. bozo, at risk of oversimplifying, a lot of what you’ve said is emphasizing that being confident in worcej’s Doctor claim will cost us the game, and not proving why we shouldn’t believe him. If you’re Doctor it’s true, but it’s notably the angle mafia would take in your shoes too—the implied takeaway is that we should kill both of you to be safe, when as the genuine Doctor I think you’d be focused first on proving worcej is faking.

I had a friend as a kid who loved to argue. He was loud. And he was RIGHT. And if you were wrong he’d let you know. Be it pedantry or general point, he’d argue with you.

Now, we were obnoxious and fairly intelligent and competitive teens. We all argued and enjoyed being RIGHT. But this guy needed it.

One day, my dad taught me the meanest thing you could do to this kid was say “I agree.” He told us this IN FRONT OF THE KID. Then when the kid tried arguing with my dad, my dad would just say “<kids name>, you’re right. I’m not disagreeing with you.”

But the kid needed to argue. He needed to be RIGHT! He couldn’t stop himself from trying to find another thing to argue about and show how my dad was wrong.

Needless to say, it was very funny. And everyone but the kid learned a good lesson.
