Was he born in a state that was independent at that time (not a colony or part of a larger state that later split up like Great Columbia) ? In other words when he was born was he considered to be of the same citizenship as he would be if born at the same place today (Expect if it is an overseas territory then answer no)?han-shahanshah wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2023 3:51 pmCould you clarify?Hanging Rook wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2023 8:31 amWas the respective state independent at the day of his birth?

For instance, QM, if he was born in what is now Suriname, the answer would be "no" because it would have been a Dutch colony.Hanging Rook wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2023 4:41 pmWas he born in a state that was independent at that time (not a colony or part of a larger state that later split up like Great Columbia) ? I don’t know, he has all the usual famous person honors… street, statue, school, even airport. His daughter even married a head of state.cdngooner wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 2:13 pmWhatever happened to the "dart test"? Is this not applied anymore? There is NO chance that the answer to this question will be someone that an average person I might hit by throwing a dart would know - some South-American-born unelected political leader from Suriname or French Guiana.
PS: This is for the forum, NOT a question for the QM.

Hey, tell me, and I will guess it.Spartaculous wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 3:19 pmLooks like we are at 19 questions right now... one more before the final five guesses. (I think I have a decent guess to make, but I already burned my free guess, and don't want to waste our last question if I am wrong.)

Ha! This has to be right. Since I already used my free guess, I think I will defer to you as the (presumed) winner here.

On the contrary. You took the risk of burning a question - but you were entitled to do that.Spartaculous wrote: ↑Mon Nov 20, 2023 4:47 pmHa! This has to be right. Since I already used my free guess, I think I will defer to you as the (presumed) winner here.
