Durga and Bunny haven't been especially aggressive this game. Especially compared to like me or worcej.e.m.c^42 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 7:43 amDo you like eating spicy food, by any chance? I know reading is hard in a reading game. I mean, if you don't like to read why play this game and ruin it for other people. Jesus Christ.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
ND playing like Jamie is town-indicative.ND wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 7:52 amI'm literally dumbfounded anyone could town read someone who doesn't actually contribute or read the game. It is only NAI with Drugna because she never reads the game start post or actually interacts with anyone in the game. She just votes for people she personally, out of game reasons, doesn't like. If this was a mature and frankly intelligent community we would automatically vote people like that out of the game because they produce nothing of intellectual value to the conversation.
I'm sorry for the broader commentary about the community at large, but seriously that statement bothered me and I had to elaborate on my thought process about it because that newb just posted a smiley face above in my query to him.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Jamie is a nutcase. Don't compare me to him.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Sure, but I think being annoyed at the level of garbage here is something I would do if I weren't busy being the garbage, so I don't agree that it offers nothing.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Tbh, I had something else typed out but then realised 1) I really haven't played with you, and 2) Don't have the time to learn you back reading old games lol.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 7:57 amNeph does not need your defense. I haven’t accused him of anything.e.m.c^42 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 7:49 amI will come in defense of Nephs and say that it certainly is very easy to skim direct ISO and forget to check alignment if forgotten. Can't say I particularly liked your entrance, since there's certainly more than enough friendly faces for you to banter with lmao.
But hm. Don't know you well enough.
What don’t you like about my entrance? You think Town!Balki is more likely to joke around for a bit? Talk about why you think this has anything to say about alignments.
But naturally it swings both ways - it was choice of, are you player who is more likely to banter and buddy, or player who is more likely to come in an establish serious tone (because former is harder to do for some, while non-emotive logic posts are easy as any alignment.)
Was leaning towards second on gut, but corrected and deleted lmao
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
I'm out. i've wasted enough brain cells already tonight with you morose simpletons.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Don't be a nutcase and maybe I'll consider it.
Jamie showed a desire to change last game, which is more than I've seen from you.

I'm glad I held off on replying until you did, for this exact reasonND wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 7:56 amLook, personally I hate being in a position where I have to agree with this werido.ghug wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 7:53 amCan we actually just hide it? I recognize Mafia is a heated game, doubly so when you're playing with a familiar group with idiosyncracies that rub you the wrong way. Accordingly, I'm trying not to be overbearing about policing tone or rhetoric.
That said, we have new players in the game, and this thread is not hidden. We're aiming for "fun" heated, not "toxic" heated. Please try to tone the attacks and language down a notch. This isn't targeted at any one player as there are several people who fit the bill.
THANK YOU FOR KEEPING WEBDIP MAFIA GREAT!

I'll talk to darg about it and follow up tomorrow.

More tonal than content. You guys are more, yes, but it's in a softer approach.ghug wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 7:59 amDurga and Bunny haven't been especially aggressive this game. Especially compared to like me or worcej.

How many of these words do you know the meanings of?
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Are you calling me soft?
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
Sure.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 7:49 amCan you please expand on these initial town reads? I don’t really understand why you have noticed those three specifically? How are they advancing the conversation? What do you see them doing that seems more likely to be a sincere scum hunt than a pretend one?
Bunny made an effort early to incorporate us newer players in a non-antagonistic fashion. Asked aaro about his approach to the game to learn more about a player he didn't know. Shared a nice tracker bot that I had never heard of before.
No single message sticks out to me from Durga. Looking back at chat history lines like "Fuck I actually hate this. You're both dumb please move on." and "Flum has done something to compare him to anyone yet? What has he done?" seem to indicate a desire to push through a mess for actual info.
ND strikes me as a particularly antagonistic town. Someone who ultimately wants the truth though goes about it in a way that I find particularly poor. At least so far I don't feel that his tendency to be caustic to use emc's term comes from being scum.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
;)
Well, I certainly won't mind you being harder for me.
Re: M62: PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF REVOLUTIONARY MAFIA GAME THREAD!
But that asides, it is like this analogy:
Toasted marshmallow, slightly flaming and burnt on outside but edible and sweet after biting into it, compared to flaming marshmallow that you bite into and find bitterly crunchy. Who is who is clear enough to not need listing names.

Actually, that is shit analogy that makes not much sense lol

They cuss more and are less jocular about it in framing, therefore giving off a "less soft" demeanour.

Wonder where damo and rdr are at. They don't have holiday.
