Absolutely, it's got to between Durga, vecna, and worcej. Go through all their post histories for connections to the scum team members. See which story seems the most suspect. But don't rush to judgement really go through it because game will be on the line then.

I think scum.mightve held their kill regardless last nigjt hoping nd would use his car if town.

I have explained this before but, yes. Anything which causes an item to be lost or used up triggers a notification to the player whose item is lost or used up.
