I love this post.Kakarroto wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 9:32 pmyou mean, the topic mafia can easily just chime in and don't have to fear much about their tone? For example, how do you think the tadpole and/or scum having PRs will affect PR claims?
neeehhhh, declined.

All the reasons are ‘vibes’ so idk what else to say here. I can probably elaborate more later once they do moreworcej wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 3:55 amNaked lists are shit.JustAGuyNamedWill wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 3:55 amunordered bc they are all weak

Re: M89: Baldurs Gate Mafia Game Thread
Honestly I think all the reads people have early D1 are just versions and iterations of ‘vibes’ from what I seen over 20 or so games

Now I am struggling to sort if Kak is overly helpful scum or town here…Kakarroto wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 10:21 pmthe point is, to get voting information from everyone, how they react, save that information, then use that information, where every town should know nothing and only play on gut, or guesses, on a later date. And there are lots of more things to gain of, later, with reactions and stuff that happened in the prior days.kingofthepirates wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 10:12 pm##vote no kill
In such a massive game, I don't see the point in not skipping when there is not enough info. unless there is a major scum slip, or some other great realization, this is my vote for the day.
Voting no-kill is like not providing information from yourself, making yourself kind a blank slot, which is what a mafia member would like to do, at least some. The more information about you is publicly known, your behaviour and voting and reason etc., the better other players can read you. Town want to find other town, as much as they want to find mafia.
As town, it is quite a good idea to project information from you, so your team members can read you. Mafia knows already you are not on their team, though they want to know who the PR's are. THAT information should be hidden as town, yes, but also, it's probably a good idea to send information out about your thoughts, reasoning and logic.

wtf?kingofthepirates wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 11:26 pmOh damn, nice catch, I didn't see that. alright then, I shall ##vote kingofthepirates (self voting is always fun :D). I know I'm safe (safe as in town), and I'll still be keeping up, seeing if anything new comes out, and voting accordingly, far to early to definitively say anything.Kakarroto wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 11:12 pmif that is your concern, as far as I understood, voting "no-kill" in this game does NOT prevent you from being modkilled. The phrasing is:
You must vote at some point during the day for a LIVING player, you may end a day unvoted as long as you voted for a LIVING player at some point, you may vote no kill provided you voted for a LIVING player at some point. You may self vote, this will count as voting a player.
please check page 1 or the GM for this.

Kinda shocked I haven’t seen much talk about the 24 hour phase encouraging less shit posting.

I just find it interesting to be uninterested in engaging to talk mechs (good) but also then talking mechs of voting (interesting).sweetandcool wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 4:08 amDude, we've seen this exchange countless times, and Kak is almost always involved.worcej wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 4:03 amNow I am struggling to sort if Kak is overly helpful scum or town here…Kakarroto wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 10:21 pm

Spoke too soon about missing the comments on 24 hours.Fluminator wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 9:02 pmNormally my style is to shitpost and spam at the beginning, but with 26 players and 24 hour phases we all have to be on better behaviour now. These first few days are going to be hell.
Hello to all the newer players I haven’t met yet but I’m not going to be able to get to know you in time lol.
Since 24 hours makes this even more of a gong show the first vote will likely be random so I’ll throw out a couple names for consideration to murder to get things started.
1. FlaviusAetius – Aetius has some epically cool moments, but for the most part he was overrated. Although it’s true his assassination triggered the beginning of the end of Rome, he shoulders a lot of the blame removing all other competent people in the first place so Rome had to rely on him. I was always more of a Stilicho fan.
2. Col7by – I don’t know how to say his name so it will be more tiring to read.
3. Dowsing – I really don’t think Dowsing rods are a good way to find mafia so he may be a liability for town either way.
Alternatively we kill whoever is at risk for accepting recruitment. Are there any players here that are known to prefer playing scum over town?
I like Fluminator here.

Not necessarily responding to Flum here, but any “messages of acceptance” of this tadpole thing is kinda disingenuous to me.Fluminator wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 1:26 amMessage to Mafia:

Something they can use down the line to prove their mindset if it gets questioned down the road.

Now, if you want a true method, I will send you a copy of my patent-pending spreadsheet.
