Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
I like these wagons. I don't agree about celaph and wouldn't vote for him, but I can understand where people are coming from with his wagon. I still am opposed to voting out non-Maniac RHK voters on principle, at least for now. I'm open to voting Flum as well, though Macca is my preferred DK.
I would also vote for Jamie, Yavu, or MAYBE rivera or damo if it came down to it, but those last two are a VERY large step below the othes.
My town core atm is Bona, celaph, dargo, food, ghug, Kak, kgray.
Comfortable staying on Macca atm.

Meaning you can't take it back, ever ever? Yeah, I hardclaim that too. No item was given to HB on N1. Or N2 just in case someone was wondering if I was hedging or not.

Stepping out on a limb here and opening myself up to a shit tonne of criticism BUT when we look at the breadth of Jamie's work this game, aside from hammering Maniac and Macca and celebrating their 40th birthday, where is the astute speculating and dot-connecting?
And this affectation for end!hammering this game?

We should rein back on the item claims. If scum do not have the item we are narrowing down the pool for them and giving them helpful NK info.

Jamie is apparently fond of utilising his hammer.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 4:46 pmStepping out on a limb here and opening myself up to a shit tonne of criticism BUT when we look at the breadth of Jamie's work this game, aside from hammering Maniac and Macca and celebrating their 40th birthday, where is the astute speculating and dot-connecting?

That apart he has been unusually quiet. Maybe it's just rl. He was absent EOD1 and EOD2. I hope he's around for EOD3 else my suspicions will rise.

This is kinda where I stand too. I'm not going to shed a tear if they die, but I have the slightest of townleans.dargorygel wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 12:11 pmTHEIRdargorygel wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 12:03 pmI do not think that macca is scum. He was absent, yes. And his comeback didn't really provide what people wanted.
His disbelief of me is understandable, reading at one sitting as he did. I think the growing 'trust' of my claim was organic. However, I also have a kernal of suspicion towards those who believe me TOO readily. We really have not had any concrete proof.
smh at self

Never mind, damo never posted here. I'm half asleep and in a meeting.dargorygel wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 12:11 pmredact (sorry macca... no coffee yet)dargorygel wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 12:06 pmIma gonna stay on flum (although both of demon's remaining townreads presence there make me raise an eyebrow...) for now.
I could return to Celaph.
But not Macca.
(While I understand the desire to clear that slot as a principle, I have not noticed any real logical case against them. If i missed it, please restate.)

What self-respecting Australian only swears twice a month?Macca573 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 12:27 pmAngry. Like yeah, sure, I'm a bit useless. But it seems a bit much. He got me to swear, which is something I do like twice a month.dargorygel wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 12:09 pmWhat are people thinking about Jamie this morning? I have some thoughts, but I don't want to shade people's answers. I will respond to any comments in a few hours.

You don't get to just drop it. The way you catch up is scummy.Macca573 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 12:28 pmyeah, I was making a joke vs asking a pointless question.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 11:45 amYet YOU have done exactly this several times in your own "catch up"- such as referring to BelCavendish being removed when we all obviously knew that had happened.Macca573 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 12:39 am
No. My thoughts are always edited.
I also find it annoying the way y'all do that, where you'll ask a question that's already been answered, or something dumb like that that just wastes space and make it look like you're participating more than you are. I may not participate much, but every post I make means something, even if that thing is humor.
We're very clearly not going to be coming to conjoint conclusions here, let's just drop it and move on. We've got scum to hunt.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Damo just slipped that I'm scum. Smh.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Town could roleblock town. Not being forthcoming after being roleblocked tells the town RBer that you're probably scum.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 1:48 pmThe number of roleblocks, to me, suggests town roleblocked scum, and scum roleblocked town, meaning of those 4 people claiming, 2-2 town/scum. Now, what my tiny peanut brain doesn't understand is why would scum jeopardize themselves by outing that they've been blocked? The town PRs would have a sense that the people claiming RB would be playing for the other side. I think.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 1:25 pm
I was right to compare your reads to Flum's. Do you share some mental connection or a QT?
No, and No.
Why the number of roleblocks is suspect for you?
I need to read the setup again to see who blocks who.
I am probably way off base anyway because I don't think I've noticed anyone else making a deal of it.

Hate this postFluminator wrote: ↑Mon Apr 26, 2021 2:11 pmI won't be claiming anything at deadline.
Just remember that I go out saying Kgray is scum.
Celaph/chaqa/rdr are all super sus.
If you kill bona i will never forgive.

I didn't do anything like this with worcej...?foodcoats wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 8:43 pmHold on... wasn’t the “I’m not Xing until you Y” what got you to miskill worcej?kgray wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 5:08 pmYou know what, ##vote bona and I'm not moving this until you explain why you thought worcej's D1 vote was towny. You won't get off my back for my townread of celaph but I don't think your townread of worcej was genuine. None of the reasons you gave held up to questioning, and you're avoiding this question so much that I cannot think of any reason for you to not answer it except that you know it was a BS reason in the first place. I think you were jumping on brain's read and looking for reasons to switch to celaph's wagon. And I think my assuming you wouldn't have the nerve to stay off your counter wagon at EOD is dangerously underestimating you.

Ah, thank you!!! I really needed that in print.
I'm looking into it but did Vecna even mention that kgray displayed they "town tell" yet?
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
I mean, yeah... but why are you defending me? And why are you accepting his claim that I did the “I’m not Xing until you Y" thing with worcej?ghug wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 8:52 pmWhy does doing it again make her scum?foodcoats wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 8:43 pmHold on... wasn’t the “I’m not Xing until you Y” what got you to miskill worcej?kgray wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 5:08 pmYou know what, ##vote bona and I'm not moving this until you explain why you thought worcej's D1 vote was towny. I'm questioning it because it's bad logic. I'm accepting the claim because it's something that I'd do, so it's something that you'd do.

Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Why are so many players just saying things that aren't true this game, and then acting like they aren't doing it, or that it's scummy to call them on it?
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Can you elaborate on why you think Rivera looks shady?foodcoats wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 9:22 pmI think yavu comes out looking better and rdr looks a little shady.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Sun Apr 25, 2021 7:35 pmWhat are you thinking about the Yav and Rivera interactions?
Regarding Flum's deep dive, I'll have to go back to check what they concluded, but I think it's a decent exercise for any town to be doing. Did you do one, and what did you come up with?
I can’t decide if Flum was making scum noise or legitimately investigating.
