Brute force. With period narrowed down there are very few births per year (sometimes none) and mostly Chinese so it's not that laborious. Although he is not described as a mathematician per se I was pretty confident I'd found the culprit.

This is the disadvantage of picking someone early medieval or earlier. I might be giving you a clue as to the next round.....

I saw the hint the QM gave by +1ing my 535 AD question, but couldn't figure out where to go from that. Good pick.

I had originally planned to do this for round 525, but I wasn't the QM that round.
