Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
So, I believe I haven't played a game with bona yet, so can somebody who has give me a quick rundown on his standard play as town?
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
I don't take well to whatever the fuck this is either.

Do you get short?ghug wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 7:03 amI don't take well to condescension.
You'd think I'd remember your play better but it's all a little foggy.

There once was a fellow named Stan
Who was able to work with his hands
He might ask you for money
Or some cereal, honey
Stan man can hand panhandle raisin bran

I wrote you a limerick but I felt uncomfortable posting it sorry.

I'll give it a pass for the last line alone. Not quite what I was hoping for, but not everybody is emc I suppose. I honestly really hope emc got the lover role, I'm sure he'd have some fun with it.

Ok this one's more PG
There was an old Demon from Dingle
Whose words cause wee ghuggles to tingle
Nightkilled him for sport
Now he's calling me short
While I pray that he'll munch on my pringle

Okay, ghug is 100% confirmed lover. Now I'm only sad that I didn't get to be lover with him.

Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Why are you asking about Bona's experience and not mine? We've both only played in the last two games. Take everything coming from them with a grain of salt as they were both far more conventional set-ups than here.
I'd describe Bona's play as jovial, emotive, and generally competent. For example he was clearly happy last game when we'd caught ghug+BB. Both of the last games he was rather somber in accepting the DK when he felt like he couldn't/didn't want to fight it any more. By generally competent I mean that he hasn't made any obvious strategical errors and is usually on top of things, though doesn't always seem to understand the ideas behind certain plays. Last game, for example, he figured out that I was faking my town self (I was PR) way before anyone else. That said, last game he voted a lot to set up ties often without additional justification.
Lastly, and a point of caution for you, Bona's game thus far has been adaptive and not entirely consistent. He was getting crap last game for playing different than the first game despite being VT both games in very similar set-ups.

I discarded the Mafia Lover card if it makes any difference.
I was warned of the spamminess of this thing coming in. Somehow still chose to participate. What does that say about me

I'd add that bona has consistently garnered a lot of suspicion as town, so suspiciousness should not in itself warrant suspicion.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
I don't trust any of you. @emc tell me who you're voting some time so I can at least get a confirmed town out of today.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
I didn't ask about you because you hadn't said anything or had anything said about you to warrant my attention. I accept your point about bona though, and taking that and his relative newness into account, I do not see a particularly strong grounds for Bunny's case against Bona. Thanks Celaph, and also hello to both of you.celaph wrote: ↑Tue Feb 02, 2021 7:34 amWhy are you asking about Bona's experience and not mine? We've both only played in the last two games. Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Well that's largely why I was asking, because I had that experience in all but one of my games so far, both alignments, and it frustrated me. Of course, I was probably also less competent than him in those games. Like I said, I think Bunny's case against bona is pretty weak given my experience and celaph's post.
Re: MAFIA 64 - The Z Files - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Why not me? I can give you some good pointers. Chaqa's always a fun first vote. Also don't wait for emc to vote before you cast yours, he almost always does so very late.
