So, with the info we have now we don't know if roles are totally randomized or if there are scum/town roles.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 9:52 amI agree M41 meets your description. I do not remember any controversy about M47.Nephthys wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 9:43 amMy apologies, I was using the initial set up that I had planned not the final one I ended up using. You may recall, 47 was controversial in many aspects and numbers were changed a lot.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sun May 03, 2020 9:36 amI was thinking about something Nephthys said about the role assignments potentially being random, so that a scum Lightning Rod or scum Tracker would be more likely than if town and scum were assigned more traditional roles. (Neighborizer as a scum role would be tricky, as a scum Neighborizer recruiting town members would not be expected.)
Here is the post where Nephthys suggested random roles:
While researching this, I found out that in M47, where Nephthys was the GM, what he said was not accurate:
So, what Nephthys said about the roles not being tied to alignment in his game is not true. Since he was using this information to explain why he was voting for foodcoats, it looks very suspicious to me.
41 I am definitely correct about though (with the exception of role cop which was locktown [played by jamie])
My role could be either town or scum (but it's a lot less usefull for scum, so I was tendingto think it's not fully random). Also it can break the game balance far too easy.
And we don't know if Nepthys was lying or just remembering the wrong game, which is weird considering he GMed that one.
