This implies that Bozo is certain that the gunshot that killed Ghug was fired by town, right?

Otherwise, why would the Mafia team agree to signal to Bozo that one of them had a (fake) cop scan on Ghug, and then in the same phase, shoot and kill Ghug to reveal that Ghug was not "guilty" at all.

That does not make any sense, so Bozo must be assuming that a townie shot Ghug.

I also assume that Mafia hit Ghug but don’t know why they waited to D3 so I suppose it could be a townie with a strong read.

The message claimed to have a guilty scan on ghug.

I don't think the gun was active D1, and they could have acquired it D2 and not been able to active it until N2. Or they may have waited to use it.

Yes, let's sort this out shall we? Several of you have a habit of overthinking things.

1) Gunshot! Poor ghug, he didn't deserve better. Possibilities:
a) scum had a gun from start
b) Bona had the gun, and scum stole it
c) Bozo had the gun, received the message about ghug being scum and shot him (surely Bozo wouldn't be this stupid, would he?)
d) Chaqa stole the gun

If a, b they are for this analysis purpose fairly indistinguishable and for whatever reason scum believed ghug was a major PR (fairly believable, as ghug was playing some weird, deep game - I wish he'd EoN'd something, as if he were cop with a scan on Jamiet that'd be pretty uh... lame of him)

If c, well, retirement home? I trust that Bozo would not do this.

If d, why shoot ghug? Why shoot now?

For this reason, I believe this is a case of a/b. This does make me wonder whether Jamiet is scum, but I'm hesitant to connect such jumps together, just something to think about.

There is no reason to believe that the cop would somehow have the napkins too, so it makes natural sense for someone to believe that scum sent that letter (or 3P I guess - actually I find this more likely as the quick scum shot seems to indicate that the scum team planned out a ghug kill during the night, in which case why bother?). Hence, 3P probably has the napkins at this point.

And Snowy, how are you feeling about reads lists from others right now. Mine? maniac’s? I am feeling like I am seeing you asking a lot of questions without actually putting yourself out there with specific reasons for reading people one way or the other.

Perhaps, but I don't see why it would be any more likely for them to save the bullet for later rather than popping it today. Though it does make sense that if they thought ghug was 3P, they'd just shoot him absolute last second a la hammer yesterday to avoid extra information.

Regardless of what the case is, if nobody steps forward as the shooter we can assume it is not a town shot.
