squawk is actually ND paying hommage to me
Re: MAFIA 92 - The return of the Witchfinder General [GAME THREAD]
I dont even remember where it came from. I was probably roleplaying a bird at some point or whatever.
Re: MAFIA 92 - The return of the Witchfinder General [GAME THREAD]
anyways i literally end up townreading will in every single game. And I always end up thinking "he's definately not scum this time around like those last times he fooled me".
So ill withhold strong opinions on the Will votes. But I think theyre wrong.

Re: MAFIA 92 - The return of the Witchfinder General [GAME THREAD]
Theres definately one or two people majorly punking us.
Which probably means Ghug is just scum.
I dont think Bozo is scum per se, but theres definately something fishy there.
Brainbomb seemed annoyed in his response talking about valentines. The timing on it seems interesting to me. Could be him faking annoyance over the PR flip after we were discussing how thats how you read him. Could be any level of genuine frustration as well (just town overreacting or scum being upset that they never got to use their forger to wrongly accuse anyone and them only having useless powers now?).

Worcej has also been really really skating by on the early townreads. Started out so active and hasnt done anything since.

If our eliminations are too scripted and predictable we can make this an easier win for possible warlock. We should kill outside of me or will to prevent this until we know more. Being too predictable in how we play is gonna turn us trying to sus out mafia to us handing a win to someone else.
Worcej is a good elimination as they werent someone a 3p would have predicted would die today. And he seems like scum or 3p.

I recall someone saying worcej was town for not claiming when he was up for elimination, and I was wondering why there wasnt a consideration of him being mafia or 3p who just didnt know what to claim there?

So we’ve spent a lot of time on who bussed Dip, but from the other direction, who did Dip maybe bus?
In his iso he had a lot of back and forth interaction with Will, but it is not the aggressive cross-bussing I remember from the game I GMed where Dip and Kak were scum together… it actually looks like Dip wants to keep Will onside with him.
But it is Demon and ND he most frequently scumreads on my overview. What’s interesting is they were both OFF wagon, and scum are NKing INTO his wagon.
He also has some weird reads of bozo and makes the statement that bozo might be paired with him.

Re: MAFIA 92 - The return of the Witchfinder General [GAME THREAD]
To elucidate… I think Dip must’ve bussed/scumread his team, because this has been a successful scum strategy for him in the past.
If I compare to myself, I had success playing a largely bus-free game. The one time I got into a lot of bussing was in a game on Mafia Scum that went disastrously, whereas I believe I won three games as scum here. So my bias the next time I roll scum will be to avoid entanglements with my team.
Dip, however, would be biased to scumread and agitate his team.
Also, because I would play scum like this, so would others. ND for example did not scumread Dip and was surprised and did a whole reconsideration post after the flip. In a vacuum, that is how I would play scum.

I think this does make it likely kingofthepirates targeted DemonRHK N2. kingofthepirates also broke the tie by voting for miminena, and these posts N2 makes DemonRHK seem like someone kingofthepirates would scan:SpiritoftheRadio wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2025 11:31 pmalso think makes me also think he scanned demon and got a negativekingofthepirates wrote: ↑Thu Feb 13, 2025 9:41 pmDon’t like demon wagon, idt dip interactions lend enough credence to it.
Of course kingofthepirates couldn't be sure DemonRHK isn't mafia, but it makes sense that he would consider him less likely to be mafia and not want to DK him D3.kingofthepirates wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 11:22 pmwarlock doesn't get an N0, red isn't counted there. and I assume this is thus a short at the 3 of me spirit worcej as 3p?
I think this makes DemonRHK at least 50% less likely to be mafia, probably more, because NKing kingofthepirates after he helped avoid a DemonRHK DK seems like an unlikely choice if DemonRHK is mafia.
Re: MAFIA 92 - The return of the Witchfinder General [GAME THREAD]
Re-reading Dip more closely, his D1 is casting scum at a lot of people, as is N1.
On D2 he explicitly reads RHK, Spirit and ND, scumreads RHK and ND and town/3Ps Spirit.
He also spends a bunch of effort arguing with ND on D2, more than any time spent on RHK or talking about other scum reads.
I think ND is very possibly Dip’s scum partner if Dip followed his previous scum successes of agitating his partners.

Re: MAFIA 92 - The return of the Witchfinder General [GAME THREAD]
There are only 5 players left who voted for miminena D3. foodcoats never voted for D&W during D2, so the only players who could win as warlock D4 are DemonRHK, brainbomb, ghug, and Vecna. DemonRHK's short time on the D&W wagon could be explained by him being the warlock, as well as ghug's last minute move (even considering this is typical for him and I previously questioned him for not doing it D1).

I was thinking along those lines as well boz

One way the kingofthepirates NK would makes sense with DemonRHK as mafia would be if the mafia suspected kingofthepirates had a guilty scan on D&W N1 and used the tamperer on him N2, and thought DemonRHK would come out looking good if kingofthepirates flipped cop. This doesn't seem very probable, though.

miminena does not seem like a particularly likely DK prediction, but you, DemonRHK, and ghug were the ones advocating for it.

I was pretty late to join that and had not previously expressed interest in it. Id been advocating for her as town. It was a mistake.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2025 4:09 pmmiminena does not seem like a particularly likely DK prediction, but you, DemonRHK, and ghug were the ones advocating for it.

The smart way to do this is to eliminate someone who fits both profiles.

Re: MAFIA 92 - The return of the Witchfinder General [GAME THREAD]
The witch would play completely different than warlock because their goal is not to drive kills so someone off wagons or disengaged perenially makes sense, ND makes some sense.
ND has done his berate the game routine he did day 1 as scum before perhaps just expressing his true feelings. His obsession with RHK could be a warlock just trying like hell to get rid of someone they think is maf. It probably makes a little less sense for ND to be scum hard tunneling on RHK unless hes hard bussing rhk or hes teamed with someone towning rhk to create parity
