I shouldn’t complain, because objectively it’s pretty good (especially to 2 years ago). I’m just tired. And the low level stress of 2020 is catching up. People are as**oles, and I just had to deal with two representatives of that.

I think I may have stumbled up on a scum member. I’d like to claim it was down to my genius at scum hunting, but it has far more to do with bumbling incompetence and shear good fortune. For background, which will be important, I didn’t read my DM initially until I said someone had given me a bomb. I didn’t read the set-up either, it’s a bit long winded and I thought I’d have plenty of time later. So I never knew about the traitor and I don’t recall ever playing a game with one before. So I wasn’t trying to project being a traitor, I’ve just been soft claiming mafia for shits and giggles mostly but also to see people’s reactions. Anywho, this is dialogue that has me thinking I know who could be scum…

summit_fever pg13 – (to Demo) “Are you feeling tired and emotional?”
Damo666 pg 13 – (to summit_fever) “No Why?”
Summit_fever pg 13 – (to Damo) “I believe it was projection on my part.”
Kgray pg 25 – (to summit_fever) “Oh hi summit. Are you feeling tired and emotional?”
Summit_fever pg 29 (to kgray) “I was last night. (it's a euphemism for drunk if we aren't on the same page here)”
Maniac pg41 (to summit_fever) “On another separate note are you from the UK @Summit?”
[At this point I’d seen summit-fever’s reference to being ‘tired and emotional’ which I kind of thought was a UK saying and even then quite niche coming from a not widely read satirical magazine. Hence my question to summit_fever who I hadn’t played with before. I hadn’t seen kgray’s comment when I asked summit-fever]
Summit-fever pg41 (to Maniac) – “I'm not from the UK but I do enjoy reading Private Eye.”
Maniac pg42 (to summit_fever) – “That explains it. I’d really struggle to vote for you now.”
Fluminator pg42 (to Maniac) – "Maniac are you drunk right now?"
Maniac pg42 (to Fluminator) – “It’s 8:18am here. As it happens I can’t remember the last time I had a drink. but I had planned to meet up with a few friends on tonight for a catch up beer. Lucky Boris was aware of mafia EOD timings and will be kicking us all out of the pubs at 10pm.”
[I can’t recall if I had read the traitor role or not by this point, it looks as if I had, but I was genuinely supposed to be meeting people last night that has now been postposed to tonight [I’m writing this Friday daytime for posting after EON] so I might have just been telling Fluminator about my real life plans.]

Seth pg56 – accuses Maniac of signalling to scum and could be traitor. I do recall reading or re-reading the role at this point.

Maniac p73 Reads “Summit – lean Scum if hiding himself is a scum thing. At some point he will be day killed for that.”
I don’t actually vote for summit-fever, I was catching up last few pages and didn’t notice time had run out.
So in summary I ask summit-fever (who we now know to be scum) if he was from the UK based on his use of a euphemism for being drunk. Later on Fluminator directly asks me if I’m drunk (I didn’t know why at the time) but I replied I wasn’t but was planning to meet up with some friends later. If Fluminator is scum and had thought I was somehow trying to signal to summit-fever then his question “are you drunk now” would have made sense to a traitor who may have responded with “I’m not now but was hoping to meet up with some friends later”

Therefore it’s just possible Fluminator is Scum and will be trying (has tried) to recruit me in to the mafia team N1 believing me to be the traitor.
If my bumbling incompetence has wasted a recruitment opportunity for mafia and uncovered one of their team, then I my work here is done.
There is a non-zero chance that scum think I’ve been heavily signalling to them in attempt to fool them into recruiting me (or at least not killing me yet). They may think I’m a PR trying to avoid a NK. If I die, it’s likely that they know who the real traitor is and they now have an open channel day and night.

Actually, I get this feeling that Maniac is on to something. When damo said he was "on the gargle" it sounded to me like another euphemism for drinking, and google confirmed this. Obviously I realize 2 people referencing drinking isn't necessarily a huge coincidence, but it could be a signal from damo too.
