Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
so if chaqa and ghug are really partners what is all this shit about N0 that worcej and chaqa plotted to use some attack tactic to get jamie to towntell?

Ezio's been pretty cool this morning.Ezio wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 2:39 pmI think he's new and has a different meta than we're used to on this site, which makes him feel weird. You'll recall I scumread him at the start too. I just don't read him as insincere. Also he caught scum.
Ya you made a case against HB, but SnC got him killed. That's too much evidence in a vanilla game like this to ignore the literal next day.
Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
And to add, I was never scumreading him for being calm in the first place, and I'm not about to townread him for being angry either.brainbomb wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 2:41 pmCorrect me if im wrong but the end hammer thing is a bit every game. where we just pick some person and eden, ghug, bona, chaqa, or whoever all votes a person and threatens to end hammer them. And it never actually amounts to anything.
I think maybe this joke was lost on Jamie in this case. I was not really planning on killing Jamie, it seemed like a poor idea at least. I was actually asking questions about jamie to everyone while voting him and got no responses to my discussion items.
But his outburst is pretty bad. I expect he will be remorseful for how he said some of those things.
Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
@ghug can you explain why this is bad for town please? I don't really get it. If it's dangerous to explain just say so. Thanks.ghug wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 5:26 pmJesus Christ aaroaarodactyl wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 1:37 pmI think the most important bit of information right now is a list of exactly who claimed partners. Indeed I will soothe the gamestate by offering words of calm throughout the day.
Be on the look out for things that make you laugh. If you see nothing worth laughing at, pretend you see it, then laugh.
Not Ghug, of course. He never appreciates me. But I know that he had a difficult childhood, so I forgive him.

Yeah, I think the outburst Chaqa and worcej provoked was pretty NAI.ghug wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 5:37 pmAnd to add, I was never scumreading him for being calm in the first place, and I'm not about to townread him for being angry either.brainbomb wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 2:41 pmCorrect me if im wrong but the end hammer thing is a bit every game. where we just pick some person and eden, ghug, bona, chaqa, or whoever all votes a person and threatens to end hammer them. man I hate it when people talk. It makes it harder to scumread them.

You're not quite as town as sweet but you're pretty damn town too, and I have said that.brainbomb wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 5:33 pmand so am I, but I cant seem to get you to say that. And you seemed unable to say that when Jamie was flagellating himself at start of N1 about me as well.

My partner is damo btw. I’m assuming that means that ghug has whoever the pairs list has assigned to damo, I think demonrdk.
Have fun thinking about everyone’s motives. I find it fascinating that ghug would pull me into a ploy and then push me for not making any strong reads.

It's bad for town because he's trying to distract us with mechanical bullshit and is still avoiding giving opinions on the game.damo666 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 5:38 pm@ghug can you explain why this is bad for town please? Is it not possible that aaro is just having a poor game?ghug wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 5:46 pm##VOTE aaroaarodactyl wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 5:35 pmA very large portion of my perspective became colored by the asymmetric information and it’s hard for me to really make any reads to begin with on D1.
It just feels like the argument for aaro being scum has been that they've done a whole lot of nothing. AKA we don't like their play so far. Which is a fine reason to vote them off, because if we are wrong then it isn't the hugest loss.
But everytime we do that, I feel like we keep making a MK.

I like this Jamiet. In a NAI way, but I like it. I'm imagining him burning some incense and burning away any unspent ire.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 5:47 pmTry not to worry, Ghug.ghug wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 5:44 pmSure not appreciating you right now, Jamie.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Fri Jun 23, 2023 5:19 pm

Nah. Brain is based for that comment.
Re: M81: A Night To Remember [GAME THREAD]
So, re: fakeclaiming.
First, I knew it was always confirmable because at least four of us knew I was lying. Given that, and that doing shit is fun and gets conversation rolling, I didn't see any reason not to. I kind of expected to be shot down quickly and for us to massclaim.
Once I wasn't shot down, I thought about it a little and decided it was worthwhile to keep going because:
a) There was a decent chance scum knew I was lying and most of town didn't, so reactions would be interesting. This did not amount to anything, or at least I've missed where it did.
b) I became convinced fairly quickly that keeping the exact identities of the T/T pairings hidden was pro-town, and on the off chance all four of us were town, that was a pretty good value add.
I don't see any scum-specific motivations for this, but it's certainly possible I'd do it as scum anyway for shits and giggles and to seem like my priorities were shits and giggles.
One point of interest is that damo knew I was lying and defended me hard yesterday. I really don't know what to make of that.
