Re: Twenty Questions - Game 83
Born in San Diego, California, on October 10th, 1973, Mario Lopez's first professional role was on the series, a.k.a. Pablo (1984). Mario is probably best known, however, as A.C. Slater from NBC's popular 1980s teen comedy series Saved by the Bell (1989). Among Mario's other credits are several other popular (if not critically acclaimed) television series, such as Pacific Blue (1996) and the movies Colors (1988), Depraved (1996) and Eastside (1999). Mario has proven himself as a prolific presenter of things, having hosted such series as Name Your Adventure (1992), The Other Half (2001) and Pet Star (2002), and having guest starred as a fake dating show host in order to dupe and manipulate contestants in the most recent season of Netflix’s Too Hot to Handle.
Despite the unsupported accusations of Twenty Questions participant Saw725, Lopez, an unquestionably handsome Latino man, established himself firmly as teen idol canon, by appearing on the cover and in feature stories in the seminal authority on the matter, Tiger Beat. Lopez appeared with and without his Bayside High co-stars, and his pin-up insert pictorials are still available for viewing or printing and pinning here.
In 2022, at the age of 49, Lopez continues to sizzle on screens large and small, with acting credits for the TV movie Steppin’ Into the Holiday and the animated TV series Family Guy.

Kirk Cameron
Congratulations to Saw725 for making the right guess, at the wire, with everything on the line. You have won Twenty Questions – Game 83.
And a pat on the back goes to DougJoe, for a key post 123, which corrected two earlier mistakes in the thread that had wrongly ruled out Mr. Cameron.
Honorable mention acknowledgement goes to Jamiet99uk, for a creative “Tiger Blood” interpretation of the Tiger Beat clue, which was clever enough that I wish I had thought of it myself.

Eddie: "Uhh umm uh, what's your dad's name, Bone?"
Richard 'Boner' Stabone: "Sylvester."
Mike Seaver: "Wait a minute... Your dad's name is Sylvester Stabone?"
Richard 'Boner' Stabone: "Who knew?"

Oh, thank God. I was going to feel terrible if I got that wrong, because I'm pretty sure we've never lost a game.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 5:59 amKirk Cameron

Re: Twenty Questions - Game 83
Kirk Cameron was probably too obscure. Felt like I needed to throw in a clue to push y'all towards the "he may be in his 40s or 50s now, but he was more famous 30 years ago" realm.
Re: Twenty Questions - Game 83
We've had our fair share of obscure candidates, and we haven't complained too much. The issue here is that the pool was so wide that we still had a ton of viable candidates after all 20 questions.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 6:13 amKirk Cameron was probably too obscure. You said he had been in a film or show released last year?Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 6:13 amKirk Cameron was probably too obscure. Felt like I needed to throw in a clue to push y'all towards the "he may be in his 40s or 50s now, but he was more famous 30 years ago" realm.

Re: Twenty Questions - Game 83
I see technically he was in a pair of “films” last year.
I suppose this is on me for not checking IMDb.

I almost made the guess when I found those two little tidbits... darn my cowardice! Nice one, Saw725, for going for it. I did go to IMDB to look through every credit (versus the list on wikipedia) to verify and double check for animation.
I don't think so - he did kind of fall off the mainstream map but I knew many, many girls who had a major crush on him back in the day.Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 6:13 amKirk Cameron was probably too obscure. I'm 30 and I know who Kirk Cameron is, but I didn't know he was known for TV. I knew him as the weird religious dude from Left Behind and being an evangelist.

I've never heard of him but I barely watch much modern Television, other than the wrestling.

I'm now going to imagine you as a British-themed WWE persona

Imagine me as a cross between "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, the "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, and "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith.Chaqa wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 2:39 pmThis explains so much about you.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 2:35 pmI've never heard of him but I barely watch much modern Television, other than the wrestling.

To be honest a lot of most modern wrestling is crap.

Unsurprisingly I hadn't heard of him either. A tad US-centric.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 2:35 pmI've never heard of him but I barely watch much modern Television, other than the wrestling.
