As mafia, his best bet is to make a claim that causes people to change. Any
truly unverifiable role will be highly suspect, so he chose the role that was "highly punishing" for us to verify.

It seems to me one of these universes is far more likely than the other.

Why would a town make us waste our D1 lynch?

Thing is, if Flav were to be mafia, I think he would have claimed a different role even with the risk of counterclaiming

I find it a bit odd for this to be his fakeclaim, it's not a good one for mafia and him saying it makes everyone want to test it

A mafia knows that town would instantly feel the need to lynch him for proof, he would risk claiming a random role and possible expose a town PR rather than being honest and be killed

Anyway, this is just my personal take.

The point is that the right thing to do as town is not claim and try to avoid the lynch by other means. Why claim if you will not die if lynched? And you will have info on who tried to lynch you, who jumped last moment, etc. Now, with an hour to go and with no other wagon that seems viable, lynching him is the right move.

We've already lost doc, the only saving role we MIGHT have after this is bodyguard, which dies on use, in a game with 2 different NK's every night.

My read of the roles is that we have MafiaNK (1) and then we have 3P.

Assassin could NK, but can't throw away their shot on the wrong target or they won't have another one.

Arsonist douses, which almost certainly means the target will die later unless arsonist is NK'd or gunned down but doesn't immediately reduce the voting pool.

Infector doesn't NK at all, just... infects. Although he'd have to be over the moon right now and is plausibly now a serious threat to winning since the Doctor died without immunising anyone.

I don't see we have 2 NKs most nights.

Will Naruto Runner's first death reveal information similar to any other characters 'final' death?

Just a reality check, assuming Flavius' claim is correct, then will we be told his PR (since he wont be dead)?
If not then it's actually an advantage that the Doc is gone. Commuter would have similar results if we're not told the details (and they picked odd).
I'm still looking through all the roles, but I wanted to check on the question above.

He seems to be saying that on lynching Naruto Runner we would hear Naruto had survived without any details as to why until the player's final death.

It turns him into a clear for the entire town to see, and while people are pushing on a town wagon you can frequently see who feels disingenuous and who feels serious.
That would be hardly a waste.
By claiming like this, everyone and their mother gets to throw their vote on him now to "verify the claim", making it almost impossible for there to be any analysis on the wagons today.

They are not, read the roles. Assasin can't shoot unless he know who to shoot and arsonist will not ignite people unless to win or to dodge a lynch.
