Re: MAFIA 48 -The Gladiator- GAME THREAD [HIDDEN]
regarding Jamie's shenanigans, I would say there was more flirting and chemistry between him and yuuki rather than him and Vecna
I felt Jamie's indignation towards Vecna
Vecna vs Jamie is a canon couple, nothing surprising
thats why I was more shocked to see a symbiotic exchange between him and yuuki given that we know yuuki is a newbie to online forums (not real life since he mentioned experience for that part)

Id be very surprised if this is indeed yuukis first time playing forum mafia
Re: MAFIA 48 -The Gladiator- GAME THREAD [HIDDEN]
In that case I'm just disappointed, I hoped there was more. My vote is not moving in the near future
Re: MAFIA 48 -The Gladiator- GAME THREAD [HIDDEN]
Also, I really dont get why people are trying to look for connections involving Jamiet, since most people dont appear to be having a scumread there.
As for another piece of weird wtf: So many people looking at VOTING. In a game where two of the remaining scum cannot be directly lynched. Where scum have a ton of tools of changing the voting outcome. STOP LOOKING AT VOTING. Look at reasoning. Scum are extremely likely to just vote for their teammates here at times where theyre going to be lynched regardless.
The real question that should be asked: Was scum looking to bus Hosuku or was it an accidental outcome, one they did not want. Is the scumteam a team of individuals that can get away with bussing Hosuku to look good, or did they try to oppose the outcome, but were their main resources either not around, or confused by the rapid vote hopping.

Or you know, you could do the not half-assed thing and try and talk to me about it.
Here ill make it easy for you by making some annoying claim: The only reason Hosuku was lynched was because I was fucking around with moving the wagon and putting Damo as a viable contender. The emperor could not use his ability because there was a real chance that Damo would end up being mislynched.
Re: MAFIA 48 -The Gladiator- GAME THREAD [HIDDEN]
Also, talking about disappointed: I feel disappointed you'd really think I would try to save Hosuku and do it in the way that I did.
Why as scum would I constantly set Hosuku up to be lynched (I voted and talked about his scummyness EXTENSIVELY) - only then to do a weird move and switch on and off Damo? If I was going to bus him, why would I not want to look good doing so?
Youre not making any sense, and your level of analysis is simplistic, high school level.

I'm gonna rebut this with something you're gonna hate.Vecna wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2019 8:43 amOr you know, you could do the not half-assed thing and try and talk to me about it.

Voting.
Why was it that you waited until 4 mins after the wagon was up by 3 to move off Hosuke. If you were paying close enough attention to know the vote counts I would suggest that you knew it sooner and then sat on it for a while before shifting your vote.
Why do I think this?
I think that you realised your scumbuddy was about to be lynched and then saw what Ike etc had been doing in tying the votes. You then had a thought;
"I can save my buddy, all I need is one other person to jump off, and if it doesn't work I can just blame it on trying to make things confusing"
You then shifted.
A few minutes later you decided you might be able to milk some towncred or something by jumping ship.
You shifted back to Hosuke

I similarly feel besmirched. I'm a much better dramatic performer than that.
Re: MAFIA 48 -The Gladiator- GAME THREAD [HIDDEN]
Voting is a piece of information. As town I do not have that much information. Thats why I use all information at my disposal. It's how you solve games, some of us actually have to do it when we live past N1Vecna wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2019 8:42 amAlso, I really dont get why people are trying to look for connections involving Jamiet, since most people dont appear to be having a scumread there.

Also, the only reasons that someone can survive a lynch is due to scum intervention through either a thumbs up or the gladiator. That also gives us information.
I agree that we shouldn't only look at voting but there is no way I'm gonna ignore it.
Also pt 2. If voting is so useless and you are town, why wait until after D2 to mention it, wouldn't it be better to let us know you think its useless straiight after D1?
Re: MAFIA 48 -The Gladiator- GAME THREAD [HIDDEN]
You realize I announced way ahead of time I wanted the vote to be 5v5v5 right? Did you read the role description of the emperor?Nephthys wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2019 8:50 amI'm gonna rebut this with something you're gonna hate.Vecna wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2019 8:43 amOr you know, you could do the not half-assed thing and try and talk to me about it.

The only way to lynch scum in this setup, is if scum DO NOT KNOW whether their teammember is going to end up getting lynched.
Youre only looking at the possible scummy explanation. And youre doing it poorly.

Re: MAFIA 48 -The Gladiator- GAME THREAD [HIDDEN]
having both Jamiet and Vecna alive feels creepy
2 talkative, invested townies and they choose foodcoats and RHK over them
Granted, both foodcoats and RHK picked up their pace and got more involved in this game's action, however it's still a major difference between these 2 sets of groups

It's pretty obvious I'm a LG(VT) and I have claimed as much. Killing me shuts me up, sure, but I would assume the scum are trying to kill Town PRs.Vaporwave wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2019 8:55 amhaving both Jamiet and Vecna alive feels creepy

You seem very sure Vecna is town?
Re: MAFIA 48 -The Gladiator- GAME THREAD [HIDDEN]
would be surprised if tentacle-lover e.m.c is part of mafia, I think he would flex more on thread, he's not shy when he's scum and this mafia team has cool powers, this would have made e.m.c more excited to contribute
Re: MAFIA 48 -The Gladiator- GAME THREAD [HIDDEN]
The last few games have all been won with some exceptional bussing. I think that you saw a chance and took it, you know that with each day you live the suspicion on you grows therefore I think you would, especially if you were the goon.Vecna wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2019 8:47 amAlso, talking about disappointed: I feel disappointed you'd really think I would try to save Hosuku and do it in the way that I did.

A few games ago I remember xorx posting something in maf chat along the lines of
"I'll be lynched easy D3/4 so bus me before then to not draw attention to yourself."
I think you would have happily swapped a lynch to keep the day chat open.
Re: MAFIA 48 -The Gladiator- GAME THREAD [HIDDEN]
How about we keep pressure up on him, because EMC becomes quite readable if he is town and talking. He is just about getting started, and he does not deserve those townreads just yet.
Re: MAFIA 48 -The Gladiator- GAME THREAD [HIDDEN]
If I actually was scum here, I wouldnt bus whatsoever. This setup makes it way too easy for scum to sweep with all 5 alive. Especially if Tem is scum here, they played it really fucking poorly. I wouldve instructed all my teammates to townread eachother hard. And it wouldve worked easily. I wouldve never even voiced a scumread on Hosuku to begin with, and I wouldve fed him easy lines to make him seem towny. If I was scum here Hosuku would have never been a wagon to begin with. Its a mistake. A bad way to play as scum.Nephthys wrote: ↑Mon Aug 19, 2019 8:59 amThe last few games have all been won with some exceptional bussing.
