Probably a conversation for after the game, but it is true to say that Lover is generally recognised as a "negative utility" role. That is, it's worse than being a VT.

The best we can hope is that you picked a scum.

I'm not sure I follow what you're saying.

What I'm saying is: if Chaqa is the Lover and scum think that Chaqa chose brainbombadil as his loved one, then they won't kill Tom (unless it secures the win) because leaving Chaqa around will keep being a distraction to town, as we need to figure out whether we need to kill him or not.

If Chaqa is scum, the mafia are keeping Tom alive to avoid disproving Chaqa's claim. This is more likely than the reverse.

That's possible too, which would be another reason not to lynch him before EP/dargo.

Why is that? The scum will lynch him when they can win the game with 2 NKs.

You are incorrect if you think I have been assuming you are scum, and I am certainly not basing my reads off of it. I would say the opposite is true, I suspect you are scum because I do not see where your reads are coming from. emc claimed tree stump D1, with all of the scum fake claim roles available.

And that cleared him? Wouldn't it be the ideal claim for scum then? That claim was NAI and complete wifom.

Do you really think ItsHosuke, as a new player, is equally as likely to choose a fake role to claim without being able to talk to his teammates as he is to claim his real role as town?

How could I know? I knew nothing about Hosuke, and still know very little. And if you remember, my starting position was NOT to lynch him, and the only reason I wanted to make a wagon on him was because he was the best way I had to save damo and Percy. And there was zero chance of a mislynch there. And if we lynched him correctly I was pretty sure Fox would be scum with him. And exposing the masons was not a big deal, because if we didn't do it that day we would have to do it the next day as Hosuke would still remain a talking point. I already explained this to you, so the fact you keep bringing it up is part of what makes me think you're scum.

These were obvious town claims to me, yet you helped lynch emc D2 after forcing Foxcastle to reveal on the premise you did not believe ItsHosuke.

However, when Percy and Chaqa claim under pressure, you are confident they are town. My read on all four has nothing to do with what I think of your alignment. It is possible Percy and Chaqa are town and I am missing scum in flash, foodcoats, and Jamie, but I do not like how Percy and Chaqa are getting by after making scum indicative claims under pressure.

Fine, as I said I don't fully townclear them. You wanting to lynch Chaqa could even be justifiable. Your scumread of me I think is hard to justify, but I may not be objective there. Some of your other actions this game (regarding damo for example) I find very hard to justify.

damo threw me off because he revealed more than he needed to about his role, and it looked like he was protecting Chaqa D2 despite saying Chaqa was one of his top scum reads. Of course, the scum knew he was town, and your interaction with him looks like you could have been pocketing him.

The downside I see is that we probably lose Tom and that we have fewer numbers tomorrow to kill a potential cow.

That is meaningless if we lose today, and we would still have the same number of town whether Tom gets NKed or not.

How would we have the same number? If Chaqa is town, we would have two fewer townies tomorrow (Chaqa and Tom).

I meant if we lynch Chaqa and he is town, we can't lose 2 town at night.
