Band/Musical Artist You Miss the Most
Over time, we've lost some great ones for all kinds of reasons. If you could get a band back together, or hear a specific artist release new music one more time, who would it be?
So many to choose from for me... What's your pick?

For our Millennial members, a Bucks Fizz is a drink favoured by the elderly in which you ruin a glass of champagne by watering it down with orange juice.

Quite why a band named themselves after this drink is something of a mystery.

If I had to pick one, probably RATM. To see them live would be bucket list worthy for me.

Used to be obsessed with this group, I can't say the band because it's embarrassing for a guy to listen to that type of music. I blame my cousin, she got me into them and I was hooked. Their music was so so, I preferred their stage presence more, their concerts were the bomb
I've snapped out of it (not!) and I'm getting better, trying to fight the power of addictive music.

Don't worry, everyone secretly likes the Spice Girls.Vaporwave wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2019 7:55 pmUsed to be obsessed with this group, I can't say the band because it's embarrassing for a guy to listen to that type of music. Re: Band/Musical Artist You Miss the Most
This is hard.
I have been lucky enough to see artists such as Ruben Gonzalez, Hugh Masekela, and Rachid Taha perform; now all sadly pass
ed, but at a reasonable age.
My favourite band is The Clash, who would be nothing without Joe Strummer, a hugely inventive musician who died age 50, much too young. So he is my nomination.
- favourite Clash album: Sandinista, where you can hear all of Strummer's creativeness
- yeah, my tastes are quite varied
- hot tips for lovers of variety: BCUC (from South Africa) a complete hit at WOMADelaide this year, and Khruangbin (from Texas, despite the Thai name) who were also fantastic at WOMADelaide
- told you my tastes are varied

Re: Band/Musical Artist You Miss the Most
Well I don’t know if I miss them the most but for me it would be both Nirvana and the Beastie Boys. I had an opportunity to see both of them but for various reasons I didn’t. They are the two bands from the 90s that got away and I regret not seeing them in concert.

Harsh, Major Mitchell.
You're forgetting their follow up hit - 'Fantasy Island' .
Interestingly (?), the 'brains' behind the group - the chap who always stood on the far right - is now a local councillor in a town not far from me (standing for an only marginally less far right party).
Back to the original question - for me it will always be Kirsty MacColl
