Ankara Crescent
It's been a while since we played Ankara Crescent. Who would like a game?
Following recent practice I propose we use the standard rules with the 2011 Captainmeme variations.
I'll start us off with:
LONDON

I forget, are the Congo Accords included in the 2011 Captainmeme variations?Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2019 7:14 amIt's been a while since we played Ankara Crescent. Who would like a game?

Either way I think I'm probably safe with F Naples.

@Squigs: I don't object to the Congo accords so let's say yes. They only really effect Tunis and NAf which aren't crucial to play unless you use some rather left field strategies (and of course Kr***in is no longer here, he was a big fan of the Algerian counter).
I should of course have said F London, not just "London" but I'm clearly rusty. Then again what idiot would make A Lon their first move?!? Hahaha.

Re: Ankara Crescent
And of course your F Nap is valid.
@Chaqa: It's like riding a bike, you'll remember if you just play along. See if you can make a play. F Nap provides tempting opportunities but don't lock yourself out.

Re: Ankara Crescent
Actually Jamiet, when perusing an old game on the old forum to brush up on my strategy, I noticed that ATC opened A London and did quite well. I think his success was largely due to the fact that he invoked the 1992 Greater Lakes Summit amendments.

I'm invoking the Developer Special Rights Agreement of 1977 and taking Army Switzerland.
Re: Ankara Crescent
If I'm not wrong, our builds are...
Jamiet: F Lon
Squigs: F Nap
Hosuke: A Cly
Chaqa: A Mun
Jmo: A Swi
Spring moves for now
Jamiet: F Lon to NAO
I guess I'll support F Lon to NAO

Oof... I guess I'll have to forfeit my moves this turn then in order to exercise the Debug Option of 1981. There's really no other effective counter.jmo1121109 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2019 12:33 amI'm invoking the Developer Special Rights Agreement of 1977 and taking Army Switzerland.

The Debug Option? Is it that desperate?Squigs44 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2019 4:28 amOof... I guess I'll have to forfeit my moves this turn then in order to exercise the Debug Option of 1981. Re: Ankara Crescent
It's called "Ankara Crescent" and the rules are very simple, so why not have a go!

Re: Ankara Crescent
I play my "night caravan" card to slip A vie through BOH and SIL into Munich. I gain advantage on this attack.
Re: Ankara Crescent
Unfortunately for you, I’ll use A Prussia’s special “Blood und Iron” ability to support hold Munich, which cancels out your advantage

Re: Ankara Crescent
I consider A Vie's unauthorised transition across Bohemia to be an act of war in violation of the Treaty of Brno.
