The person I assume to be the second mason (if ItsHosuke's claim is true) has not posted in a long time, but is an active player generally and I expect them to reappear for EoD.

@Xorxes: You are very interested in the masons. I have worked out who I believe to be the second mason. Brainbomb and Damo are clearly also now aware who this is believed to be.

I have spent so much time this phase defending Hosuke from an obvious mislynch that I haven't had time to build a real case on who I think is scummy. I've tried at the fringes.

False. Hosuke was not under pressure until relatively late, way after you were set on lynching Percy or damo.

No. True. You started in the masons 24 hours from EOD. I think 20 hours out of 44 total so far is enough to qualify as "so much time."

And my look at Percy and Damo was pretty soft. Don't try to paint me like I had a huge case against either of them or was pushing them super hard.

Generally speaking, I town read xorxes, and wouldn't have even bothered to iso them (for better or for worse) except for the innocent child claim. That said, xorxes has definitely laid groundwork for the argument that claims that are eventually provable should be left alone, and this on its own feels really scummy because I am not actually sure what reason xorxes had for claiming. xorxes has done a lot of analysis that has felt townie to me, but they are working pretty hard to set up a policy that they should not be voted for because they've claimed innocent child.

Hosuke, Percy and damo get a temporary pass until their claims are verified or disproven.

If your only scum candidate is someone that will most likely be sorted out by itself then there's a problem.

Despite defending unproven claims as a fundamental and inalienable source of truth, xorxes is aware of the problem that could arise from accepting currently unverifiable claims until it is too late:

worcej, the only one that claimed for the sake of claiming was Hosuke. Everyone else had a more or less valid reason. Obviously it's better not to claim, but if someone is pointing a gun at you and you have a valuable role, that's a valid reason. If you think you're a strong NK candidate and there's a potential Janitor, I think that's a valid reason too but you're free to disagree.

And finally... voting for xorxes is absurd. Because they will prove to us they are the innocent child on Day 7. Otherwise, they should be allowed to get to LYLO. Okay...

Also, that's a Day 7+ power. You could not punch me in the dick hard enough to care about that claim. Presumably a scum!child gets immediately lynched on Day 7 when the GM does not confirm their role, but if they still have a partner at that point that's a huge victory for scum to make it to day 8.

xorxes also seems quite adamant that they are going to be NK'd. They casually sweep away any reason for anyone to ever consider lynching them because they WILL be NK'd. This level of forlornness isn't really necessary for town!xorxes in my opinion, even if it isn't scummy in and of itself. But combined with the above fallacious reasoning, xorxes is doing a great job of arguing why they should not be considered a voting candidate.

I will be NK'd whether I claim my role or not, so in fact claiming it may be beneficial to me personally if my role is not a very valuable role, and if it's valuable keeping it hidden doesn't really help me.
