Even better: one of the clears tells them what they should post, e.g. post one of Shakespeare's sonnets, or whatever. That way we know for sure it's not something they could have planned beforehand and they have to decide together now.xorxes wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2019 6:55 pmThe masons can very easily prove to us they're town: they post the exact same longish thing at the exact same time which they coordinate in their QT.
The only way this fails is if they have already prepared this at night, but that would require me to be scum with them to bring up the idea. (Highly unlikely they have already prepared a time they will post the identical same thing unless I'm a part of the ploy.)
This has to be done today, otherwise they will have the night to coordinate.

Caught up, but nothing to say.
Only looking for references to himself.
No attempt to solve the game or scumread anyone despite being all caught up.
Okay.

I'm still digging into Damo, but to justify my vote, this makes me think Damo was pretty happy with Rdrivera shooting, because he was likely to hit town. Rdrivera was aiming at Bozo, emc, flash and Vapor at this point.damo666 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2019 6:18 pmI'm trying to provoke him into using it.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2019 6:16 pmIf rdrivera is scum faking claiming vig, he will be confirmed by D2, there is no reason to risk lynching him today. If he is really the vig, he will probably be the NK target.

Why are you intent on exposing the second mason?xorxes wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2019 7:08 pmEven better: one of the clears tells them what they should post, e.g. post one of Shakespeare's sonnets, or whatever. Fishing hard for this one, eh?

Re: Mafia 47 - The Sixth Mass Extinction - GAME THREAD [HIDDEN]
There's zero chance we mislynch a mason: they can prove to us they're town.
As for exposing them to the NK, Hosuke did that to himself, and the Mafia probably already know who the other is, it's not that hard to figure out.

I've come around to the delayed vote on Percy. We can maybe lynch the roleblocker in the time it takes Percy to activate.
I don't see how Masons can prove they're town, but I also don't want to vote against them. It's more likely the maf team has to kill them to ensure they don't make it to endgame.

Okay, then why are you chasing masons when there are 5 scumbos out there?

This is how they prove they're town:EspressoPatronum wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2019 7:21 pmI've come around to the delayed vote on Percy. We can maybe lynch the roleblocker in the time it takes Percy to activate.

One of the clears chooses a category (e.g. Shakespeare's poems) from which they must both post the same one at the same time. They can only do this if they can coordinate in a QT.

Because I follow this pattern: catch up, respond to direct questions, then build cases. I don’t yer have the time to do #3 because I’m on my phone and about to get into the car for a 2 hour drive and a soccer game. Forgive me for not prioritizing a mafia game over watching my cousin play for a professional soccer team.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2019 7:09 pmCaught up, but nothing to say.

... You're spending a lot of time on the mason question. That's what I mean by "chasing masons". I find it ironic that you're unconcerned about Percy because we can deal with him on Day 6 or whatever—when it's possibly too late—while focusing on the masons when Hosuke is either town (in which case they'll have to NK him eventually) or scum (a problem that will probably clarify later when another scum claims), but not urgent.

Sigh...
I was feeling better about Percy. But then he went all unsure about his claim.
I am interested in Jamie. He seems very terse and mad, like scumjamie. If there is something else about him, please summarize. I expect to be in full Monday. Your patience is appreciated.
I am going to VOTE ## Percy Williams but will try to scan again if I get the chance.

He's just seemed super scummy to me throughout and I haven't actually done a full ISO on him or anything.

Re: Mafia 47 - The Sixth Mass Extinction - GAME THREAD [HIDDEN]
Maybe I missed this, but didn't we already determine there's a small possibility of both Masons being mafia? Your way to clear them doesn't work in that scenario.xorxes wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2019 7:23 pmThis is how they prove they're town:EspressoPatronum wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2019 7:21 pmI've come around to the delayed vote on Percy. But again, I don't think we have to worry about this. The maf team has to kill the Masons before the endgame. We should focus on other ppl for now.
Re: Mafia 47 - The Sixth Mass Extinction - GAME THREAD [HIDDEN]
Don't be silly, I have only started looking into masons in the last hour or so when damo suggested they should claim (which I thought was a good idea).Foxcastle wrote: ↑Sat Jul 20, 2019 7:29 pm... Percy is most likely town. I don't know why you think I've been unconcerned about him. Day 6 will only be too late if we only lynch townies until then and if he is scum, both of which are highly unlikely.
The reason I'm not so happy letting Hosuke slide by now is that he hasn't done anything for town, and the person I think might be their partner is not currently convincing me they're town either.
