Resigned option
Resigned option
Hi. I would like to know how people can (could) resign for a game.
I noticed that some years ago people could do it.
Thanks.

Re: Resigned option
You can't resign from a game. That was just a visual representation meaning "went into CD by NMRing twice, but wasn't replaced" in games that had ended.
Re: Resigned option
And if you do that too much, your reliability rating tanks and you can't join new games.
Re: Resigned option
In a very low priority, probably-not-worth-implementing sort of way, it would be nice to be able to resign 1v1 games.
Re: Resigned option
vDiplomacy has a Concede button. If every player (but one) votes Concede, the player not voting Concede gets a win. Possibly this could be implemented for 1v1 games here.
Re: Resigned option
Yes, concede buttons for 1v1 are on the wishlist. It's not low priority and it's worth implementing, but there are things with higher priority and there was some issue (that I can't recall the details of).
Re: Resigned option
Irrelevant question: If I ask mods to be removed from a game, will I have RR penalty?
Re: Resigned option
No, you will not. But the mods typically won't remove you from a game. We expect you to be a responsible adult and finish your games.
Re: Resigned option
What if I have to be absent and a replacement will be a better option than pausing / giving NMR?

Whoa, you just made a lot of presumptions about age.

I wonder why? I guess you must deal with mature teenagers on a daily basis? Interesting...Claesar wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2019 5:12 pmNo, I just have unreasonably high expectations of teenagers.Percy Williams wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2019 4:33 pmWhoa, you just made a lot of presumptions about age.![]()

I'm of the opinion that any teenager spending time on the Webdip site is a much more mature teenager.Magnetic24 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2019 5:28 pmI wonder why? True, but to make up for that the elderly are less mature..Percy Williams wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2019 5:57 pmI'm of the opinion that any teenager spending time on the Webdip site is a much more mature teenager.
