1. Yeah, As soon as Flavius claimed that it took you two seconds, and Chippe questioned the number, I did the maths and agreed with Durga, and that alone took me two seconds, before I touched any names, or looked at 300 possibilities.Foxcastle wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 11:26 amActually, combinations lists are really irritating to calculate in a spreadsheet. They are not a predefined function, and the excel "extensions" aren't all that elegant or simple (and I don't install them anyway). Definitely not automatic, let alone AUTOMATIC.Squigs44 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 3:24 amFlav, if this is so easy, I want to see you do it. Make a spreadsheet with every single 4 person scumteam possibility. Then go through them and get rid of every single pairing that would not make sense based on a re-read of the game. Let me know how long it takes you.FlaviusAetius wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2019 3:22 am
Do you even know how spreadsheets work, that can happen AUTOMATICALLY
But if you google "combination list generator", you will find something that does do it in 2 seconds.
The whole project was about 2.5 hours, I think. (Well, 2.5 episodes of Good Omens, so probably faster if you're not distracted.) That includes tracking down all my exclusion pairs (and I don't intend to tell you how or why I picked them, because I intend to deploy this in future games) and cutting down the lists and staring and thinking and everything.
2. Good on ya for watching Good Omens, the books were great books written by great people, and acted very well in the show adaptation. Strongly recommend that show.
3.I really think that Teacon versus Foxcastle know they are both Town, because any sort of conflict could make us scum read the survivor, and get us another mislynch.
(Okay, I got distracted a bit, but I am working on a new complete Town reads list, utilizing different possible pairings. Kind of like what Foxcastle's spreadsheet was, but person by person, and for Town.)
Also what's the word on Connor ComptEn?
