You were distracting town at that time with this ludicrous theory. This kind of distraction is very anti-town unless you have really good reasons to present that kind of theories. My feeling reading you is that you all game has been more interested in presenting odd theories, and not cared much how this possibly would negatively affect/distract town.

He continuously distracts town and scum reads people with no real basis. That's what makes Teacon so hard to read because he wastes time as town too.

Considering a theory is not the same thing as scumreading people. Lateral thinking helps you imagine possibilities. If you see value in having a diverse set of perspectives on solving a problem, it's really helpful for coming up with a sound solution we can have a consensus on. If you'd rather I just tunnelled someone into the ground myopically

If someone says:

what if X is scum? that would mean X's actions towards Y can be explained this way. But Z happened, so it's not likely that X is scum.

That's not scumreading X. that's giving a gigantic if(); then(); statement and seeing where it leads.

I did this sort of speculative thing last game too, remember? When xorx and I got into a huge fight and I speculated he bussed the gf day one? By the end I thought (and was telling people) that it was TvT. Lateral thinking.

The notion of "what if rdriv is lying" was a similar sort of thought experiment. As balki just demonstrated, we shouldn't take uncc'd claims at face value. Recall that at the end of it I didn't push rdriv or any of the claimants. Why would scum!teacon try to shade rdriv d3, only to kill him n3? Do the thought experiment yourself... it doesn't make any sense.

First of all, "I hardclaimed scum" is silly. Stop it. You're obviously not serious about it, and it's not actually the basis for any conversation going forward or subsequent analysis.

Second of all, I'm just guessing. I don't have a great reason for it, other than that Damo seems more likely, so it's probably connor. I haven't reread either of them, but that's definitely a thing to do before tomorrow.

Also I often indulge into this kind of theory making, but I mostly do those in private. Only when I feel I have enough of evidence, I make such theories public. Otherwise I know I will be ridiculed and not taken seriously (and that I am getting anyhow even when I hold back for a while)

They'd be hunting for the BA, of course, to save Balki from getting shot. Once they knew who the BA was, they could roleblock him to the endgame, and balki would just make up stuff about using his scan.

I can't imagine why anyone would fakeclaim rb. Maybe damo thought connor was going to get modkilled? or that he wasn't caught up enough to post anything useful?

I'm not going to be as detailed with my iso of Durga because she has more posts so I can't go through them all one by one, and because I townread Durga.

The main take away I have from Durga is that she is playing with emotion. She seems genuine in her views and each of her posts seems to have a purpose or clear stance. As scum she finds it difficult to solve, but I don't see that frustration here, she is putting in some decent solving. Her opinions and progression wrt Flav and Chippe match my own and seem natural.

Durga has said herself that she hates playing as scum because she can't pretend to solve. She likes when there are third parties though since she can still try to solve for who the third party is, so this point is a bit muted by that.

i probably can't properly read anyone in this game because everyone is scum hunting - 3rd party is scum hunting mafia and mafia is scum hunting 3rd party.
