Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
I still can't get over this. There are two votes on Xorxes, two on Percy. Why kill Tom and RB me (the two Percy voters) when they could have killed/RB'd Rdrivera who was voting Xorxes? Was Percy more valuable to the team than Xorxes, or were they trying to pull a WIFOM stunt?Balki Bartokomous wrote: ↑Sun Jun 09, 2019 5:18 pmI think this is right:
BLIND ASSASSIN VOTE 1.2
Percy Williams (2): Tom Bombadil, Squigs44
Squigs44 (1): Durga
Teacon (1): TrPrado
Flavius (1): Foxcastle
ET (1): ND
Neph (1): ET
FoxCastle (1): ChippeRock
xorxes (2): rdrivera, Balki
Currently, Percy Williams or Xorxes is set to be killed by the Blind Assassin. You have less than 2 hours to vote.
I do expect the leading vote getting to be assassinated. If for no other reason, it just raises the stakes for this vote on N3 so much, and helps Town and Blind Assassin. Ignore this vote at your peril.
And there is no reason you can’t change your vote if your top choice is not gaining steam.

I enjoyed that video of Sheldon that you linked btw Chippe

Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
I'm still not sure I should say while the game is ongoing - just to be safe. Like I said, it's not game breaking but it goes against the spirit of the rules.

I don't want to drag this conversation back up so lets let it die.

More Balki re-read gems:
Just prior to EoN2, he posts some reads, with his scumlist as Xorxes, Fox and TrPrado.
He does his BA claim thing that still has me in awe.
Next time that he lists his scumlist, he only lists Fox and teacon.
"Rules out" some scumpairings: Xorxes & Percy, Peter & Flavius, Fox & Flavius. Some level of wifom in here.
Adds the pairings of ND/Chip/Flav, and et/connor
Gives a townread of Percy.
When the vote is 3/2 Xorxes over Fox, he votes for Xorxes.
His next post gives a scumteam of "Xorxes, Flavius, Damo, ND, teacon, and maybe et?"
Furthers his scumread on damo.
Defends et.
Urges town to stay on Xorxes. At this point, teacon and Fox are the other two viable wagons.
Initiates a last minute cfd to damo.
Goes back to Xorxes when it doesn't take off.
Overall, his D3 is probably the hardest to read into, because he knew he was not going to survive long. His Fox and teacon interactions are interesting, but overall I think Balki's actions make sense both if Fox or teacon are mafia or not. He played a pretty wifomy D3. If I was forced to get a read out of his D3 I would say overall Fox looks worse and damo looks better though.

Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
@Neph I would choose between damo, teacon, and Fox for the judge pairing
Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
I'm curious to the attention that xorx/balki paid Percy. This is clearly intentional although I'm not sure what to take from it as of right now.
Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
I echo ETs message re the roleblock. What better way to win than clear one of your own with a fake rb.
It was reasonably clear that Balki was going to die at some point and so I think the scum team would have been happy to sacrifice him to potentially give towncred to one of their own. I don't think we can be as sure as Durga thinks.

@Durga: Wtf? It’s not my primary reason for suspecting ET. I’ve made my case twice. This is a piece of speculation. That I brought up because we have new information in the form of two scum flips since end of D3. Have you even freaking read my cases?
Why connor over peter?
Who do you think as BA and why are they above connor?
Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
@Connor to expand
- Who should I put up?
- Why are you not the BA?
- Thoughts on interactions of xorx/Balki and Percy
- Name me your best shot at a scumteam

@Connor
- One more, explain to me the evolution of your Balki read.

Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
It is more than just saving Balki though. If they could successfully RB the BA, there are huge implications. First, they know who the BA is, which is a huge plus. Second, town would think that Balki is the BA, and would act on that assumption, a very big assumption. We wouldn't have had the info on Balki that we now have. Balki could steer us, and we would assume that he was working towards towns best intentions. A successful RB would keep up the ruse Balki was going for, giving them a whole lot of power and an almost guaranteed win.Nephthys wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 5:39 amI echo ETs message re the roleblock. Re: Mafia 46 - Ace Attorney - GAME THREAD
True there is definite reason to do it, but also think about a scum claiming they were RBed. It also does more or less the same (minus not knowing who the BA is)Squigs44 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 5:57 amIt is more than just saving Balki though. @Squiggles, give me your thoughts on connor.
Look into his Balki read, it makes me curious
