Useless facts
My mind was blown last week. While training for a new job, I learned a ton of stuff I never had the privilege of knowing, including:
"The simple act of walking is really just the repetitive act of controlling falling."
Boom. What else do I need to incorporate into my new foundation for living life. Help me...

How about these gems:
A high five is a cooperative clap.
Dreams are something we shouldn't let just be dreams.
Every word is made up. It becomes "real" when enough people agree on it to make its use practical.

You can never be sure that at any moment, the universe wasn't created five minutes ago in such a way as to "confirm" every memory you believe you have and every fact, useless or otherwise, you believe to be true

On that basis we can never be sure of anything at all! Which is fine of course, just pointing it out.Carl Tuckerson wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 7:39 amYou can never be sure that at any moment, the universe wasn't created five minutes ago in such a way as to "confirm" every memory you believe you have and every fact, useless or otherwise, you believe to be true

If you melt down all of your hollow chocolate Easter eggs to form one single solid chocolate egg, it's bloody hard to eat.

From it: "Switzerland is the only country with a square flag" is not true. Vatican City has a square flag, too.

So when I first glanced at this... I thought Octavious was making a joke about eathing the EMPTY HOLLOW part...
On second read... I became worried.
Re: Useless facts
Shakespeare and Cervantes died in the same date (April 23rd, 1616), but not in the same day.
In 1616 Spain had already adopted the Gregorian calendar, but England not yet, so in Spain April 23rd, 1616 was ten days before than in England.

Re: Useless facts
Well, I was the one EATING a camel... and I had a camel-gun with my prints all over it... and the tracks led from my caravan to the camel to the firepit... but that is ALL circumstantial.tobieee911 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 1:20 pmi am sure you was the one huning camels

Some good ones. How about:
"People who live in glass houses sink ships."
"Don't cross the road if you can't get out of the kitchen."
(Great movie)
