Why are people so keen on lynching people who are actually trying? It's not even being defensive in a slimy way. I feel like we're in some weird alternative universe and I just don't understand it anymore

Hot take - Balki and xorxes are town since scum likely shot someone was strongly acting as VT rather than PR and those two would definitely be shooting for PR N1.

I still don't believe rdriv do this - a) why would scum sacrifice a widely townread player for the sake of a fake claim? b) scum is close to winning anyway, why bother fake claiming here?

Some ISO reactions:

I think Neph is town. Most recently, I think his proposal that the BA scan instead of kill tonight is flawed, but in a way that is more likely to be a townie error than scum trying to undermine the BA's potential assistance.

I would also not lynch Damo yet. Again, he's trying to push a Chippe lynch followed by an et lynch. That seems like a townie error rather than a scum plan.

I think Teacon is scum. It's superficial engagement. He talks about the secretary a couple times, once in regard to Flavius's early "slip", and then later to basically accuse the secretary of having coached Cruaader's newbie play. I think that if D1 was TvT, there'll be scum on the idependent wagons, and since Cruaader and Espresso are cleared and I'm townreading ND, and null/slight town on Xorxes, he'd fit the bill. Even if Flavius is scum, I still think it's possible for a scum to avoid both lead wagons.

Percy likes to hunt for PRs without much subtlety to it. I think that indicates genuine curiosity about the game, which is townie. There are couple places where he throws out jokes (D2, p. 138 and N2, p. 153), and is somewhat cheerful in contrast to the rest of the thread being frustrated. That could imply confidence that comes with being scum, but also I doubt scum would risk that. (Even if Percy has a similar streak to EMC and likes making subtle mocking scum comments in the thread, this is too bold.) So I'll say Percy is town.

Teacon is scum. And I'm still stuck on TrPrado, Flavius, and Rdrivera being scum, too.

Then, I wonder why suddenly Fox thought Teacon as scum. There seemed no news.
So I thought Fox is scummy.
And after, Rdr said Fox had been at home and many players wanted to lynch Fox immediately.
So I thought lynch Fox is not good idea.
Fox is enough scummy, but if so, we can't get big information. I thought that.

Doesn't matter. You need to look at things that make someone more likely to be town, not what makes sense and what doesn't. Town do lots of things that make no sense, if you're town, you can use your own d1 as an example. Et has shown a thought process that in my opinion renders him as town. Others like xorxes have not. If your intent is to find scum then I suggest you ignore actions that don't make sense or at least think about why they would be scummy instead of townie

Page 191: He wants to lynch Connor. Again, Connor was a null on his reads list from 159. He admittedly says he has no read of him here yet wants to lynch him. Agrees with not lynching Fox. Which indicates a change (admittedly I had this change too) couples Fox with the hooker though on page 191. Says he thinks Neph is scum. Votes Connor because he wants him to talk. Yeah, game is on the line and he wants someone to talk so votes for them. Wtf? I’ve answered his idiotic questions as well by saying who I think is scum. Buddies Drugna and Squigs on page 191 “What a good townreading you are! I confident you (and Squigs) are town too.” (Page 191) Asks Flav if he is more towny than Durga lol. I think et's push on Connor was actually v townie. Connor is Mia and hasn't had any pressure. Scum should be looking for an easy mislynch at this point, him voting Connor is the opposite of that - and he did so for what I perceived to be genuine reasons.

Page 192: Asks Xorxes some questions, asks Percy some questions, says he didn’t read M1007. Has me and Damo as scum yet he is voting for his null read Conner. Makes no sense. Well it does if you were scum and didn't want to make waves so threw your vote on someone who was obviously MIA. Confused about a GM note on Page 194. Asks why Chippie and I wanted to lynch Fox on Page 195. HUH? He literally was throwing shade at Fox? In pages 177-179.
WTF? Wants to lynch Connor for lurking on Page 196. Says xorxes lynch is better page 196. Xorxes is only better in his mind now because Xorxes has the vote. This illustrates the pattern. ET votes the wagon and is playing cautious atm.

et doesn't fit with ND, the Percy/Xorxes interaction is strange, and Flav and Fox have had so many people pushing on them that it is simplest if they are both town. Out of Flav/Fox, Flav is more likely scum imo, he could replace connor/peter/damo possibly.

Thinking through full teams, it is hard to put a team together without teacon on the team, so I would be willing to lynch him if things went that way. The Percy/Xorxes interaction is giving me a lot of hesitation on both of them.

I don’t hate that grouping. Teacon voted for Moscow/peter on Day 1, but it was a joke vote. He said “wounded pride” as justification.

Teacon’s only other vote on Day 1 was on Cruaader. God, teacon had a pitiful Day 1. Easy wagons, not making waves, blah.
